Never romanced Jacob, and I can see why that would suck, but from what I saw of the options with Jacob in ME2 - and the creepy stalker voice Shepard got when she talked to Jacob - it seemed to me that the whole "relationship" would've been nothing but crazy animal sex. That doesn't make it right that Jacob fans got screwed but at least they got some small amount of closure instead of having BioWare take a giant ****** on them the way they did with Thaneromancers.
Closure my a**. I'm sorry, but Thane's ME3 romance has at least some good parts, even if they aren't many. Jacob doesn't even have a romance at all. But fact is, neither one is done well, and neither one gets an achievment. FemShep gets royally screwed out of two ME2 romances, while ManShep does just fine. This is Bull****.
Ugh! I just watched it and that was...bad. After watching that, I'll say that it's as bad as the Thane romance. The "good parts" of the Thane romance consist of a post-mortem letter from him declaring his love. So it's being in love with a guy who didn't give enough of a damn to take care of himself and survive versus being in love with a guy who acts like a complete and utter jackass who used you for sex. Whoever wrote this crap deserves a solid kick to the balls...with steel toed boots.
Also, we already got that letter from Lair of the Shadow Broker.
It was the same letter, verbatim. So if you read it already, you don't get anything new, anything different.
Well, it's as it should be. It was not meant for you to read early. The best you could hope for is him adding a bit more before kicking the bucket.

Are you serious? "Read it early?" If it was not meant for us to read early, why the hell did they put it in the game?
It makes sense for the letter to appear if the game doesn't have "played LoTSB" flagged, but it adds nothing to the game of someone who did. In addition, given how very little romantic content there was in ME3, it is nothing short of criminal that this opportunity to give fans something else, was squandered.

You read it in Shadow Broker early. That doesn't change the fact that it was meant to be sent after his death. You can't expect him to create a completely different letter.
The point is, it was still sent to you, as it was suppose to. As you knew it would.

Kind of sad that BioWare allows the male Shepards to get back with their Mass Effect 2 LI, even though it's not that good, but they don't give the females anything. Obviously I'm not couting Garrus/Tali here.

You're right. I can't expect him to create a different letter.
But I can expect the writers to do something else in addition to that, instead of shamelessly recycling information from a previous game. Couldn't he have given Shepard a gift, other characters do. Something to put in her cabin? A picture? A holo, like the one Mouse gave him? Anything?!
In fact, if anyone should have gotten a picture, it should have been Thane.

Maybe if you weren't busy stuntcasting videogame journalists you could write decent conclusions for Jacob and Thane, Bioware.
