KL has "plot shields" in the Thessia battle.
Yeah, I really hate when bosses do that. Might as well just make it a cutscene and not waste however long the fight takes.

No. The Asari have had it too good for too long. They wanted to sit on their little blue butts while every other world burned. My care-jar's all empty when it comes to Thessia.

Does it help to save that one gun-ship that supports you in the middle of that mission? Will that ship then distract KLs support ship, and keep him from reaching the data? Or is it pointless to try again?
Isn't the destruction of that ship scripted too ?

scripted. I got him down to one shield bar on both cycles and was railing on him with everything I had and couldn't break through to health.
happened again at the end when you face him. The game wants you to go through several cycles with him.
It was kind of odd, but I didn't really mind it. Well, the second time it was a little annoying.

This part hurt the most. I got that he had script immunity, but losing Liara's homeworld after setting out to save it was, frankly, horrible. And the scene after when Shepard has to tell the asari councilor, is worse...

Nope. Shepard loses all his powerz in cutscenes. Besides Kai Leng wears a plotarmorium shirt.
this... no matter what class you are, he seems to forget this when it is cutscene time.

Agreed, I think they deserved the loss more than everyone else in order to make up for centuries of gaming the system. I never liked the Asari, but is it weird that I kind of... respected them more after finding out their dirty little secret? Now that I know their implausible perfection was just a case of them screwing over the rest of the galaxy and keeping a treasure trove of Prothean secrets, it's like... Okay, now I get it. /otRed Dust wrote...

Kai Leng was kind of annoying. I'd expected something flashier from his final fight after all that aggravation, but it was a little underwhelming. Also, I kept screaming at my Shepard to use her biotics!

On the up-swing, Thessia does not have a mass relay in it's system. They might be the only race whose home world is not decimated by the ending...
