I've encountered a truly strange bug.

After the mission where you meet Grunt again, I switched over and played some multiplayer. When I came back to my game, I had zero fuel, zero credits, and Commander Shephard had morphed into "default" Femshep, rather than my customized version of the same.

I decided to force-quit, so that I could load Steam Cloud files. It's popping a choice of local or steam files, but the steam files are 6 hours old, ie, at least 4 hours of single-player playtime lost.

I have been using just one save game. I highly suspect that it is corrupt.

What's going on here?

The same thing happened to me. I finished meeting Wrex, did some multiplayer and all my credits and fuel were gone

Did your Shepard revert to the default appearance as well, or were you already playing with the default appearance?

A lot of people are getting this, but bioware hasnt said anything about it to us, kinda ruins the play through...

I found an older thread speaking of reloading an old save but I tried that and it failed to fix anything, in fact it appears that it happened during mission (atleast for me), as suddenly I had no medi-gel, or a scripted event where they strip Shep of his weapons during a cinimatic event.

I tried restarting the mission and the items were returned, its late here and I am tired so I will see if it happens again in the same mission.

I also had this bug, but not as bad. I just finished a mission with Samara on the monastery. I had not played any multilayer for the past week, but when I went back to the map my ship was at 0 fuel and auto moved back to the gate for me. Also I had no credits. Another difference from above is that my character retained her face data, I was not reverted to default.

Also, some of the mini missions like meeting Ashley and Samara on the cidetal for good times came up, looking for Ashley all over the place and couldn't find her, I did find Samara but I think that has to do with the monastery mission. However when I got back to the Normandy, all my emails had cycled back to when I had just completed the quarian mission and all messages after that were gone.

It seems like this can happen after pretty much any mission. It has happened to me twice after completing missions on Tuchanka and scientist rescue. After loading back on normandy my money and fuel are gone (using default shep).

The only working solution I've found is to restart the previous mission and hope it doesn't happen again. Annoying, to say the least.

I was fine until I tried multiplayer. Then back on Citadel when I lvl to 6 all my skills reset to zero and all but 13 of my points are gone....so now I have no skills and no points to get them back with. I loaded an old save that fixed it but as soon as I hit lvl 6 again it reset to zero and 13 points. Sigh.

Happens to me repeatedly. I think it has to potentially do with reloading autosave. I basically lose my credits, fuel, and actually reverted to L1. I'd assume if it happened during a death and reload, it may cause the wipe...

Definitely one of the worst gameplay bugs I've ever encountered in a game.

I've had this issue/bug happen as well on the Cerberus Headquarters mission. It's highly infuriating to say the least.
