I think they explained the criteria for making DLCs (like From Ashes), is that they can't alter the core game itself. That they are "sugar on top", side stories, extra content. This is why I think the endings will remain as they are now.

The only way I think they could/would change them is through a patch, effectively affecting every copy of the game. But that just won't happen.

BW has stated multiple times in the past that they view patches as means to fix errors in the code, not to introduce new content.

So we might see fixes for the non-working character imports and wierd animations hick-ups (characters not looking at each other -e.g. Liara and Shep fixating their views on Glyph instead of each other...etc)...the endings, however, work as intended.

People, stop getting your hopes up for a new ending.

He's obviously just excited about some DLC they are gonna come out with. I just hope its all story DLC and no map pack garbage. It's cool if a new MP map comes with a new story DLC but map packs alone for mass effect would be almost as bad as the endings.

Trying to think of the names some people would call it if only maps were released.

Mass of Duty
Call of Effect
Call Effect
Duty Effect
Mass Duty

Nah.  It's either be Mass Effect: Battlefield  or Battlefield: Mass Effect. Hmm... any indication Bioware and DICE are talking?

Are we finally going to get Mass Effect: Call of Honor and Medal of Duty? :o

So, something is coming. We don't know what.

But... I'm willing to have faith. This game, aside from the ending, has probably been the best one I've ever played, up there with titles like Half-Life 2 and Portal 2. This is word that we've not been abandoned, and for me at least, that is all I need.

We eagerly await more information, and for what it's worth... I sympathize. It must be rough seeing all the people come here and and say "THIS IS SO AMAZING BUT THE ENDING RUINS IT FOR ME" when you know you have plans.

i hope this is true

Just seems like PR talk to me. They'll say anything to try to contain the situation. I'll need to see action, not words, to believe anything Bioware says.

There are no mass effect relays anymore. Who the hell can possibly care about Omega? ._.
It's just not needed.

I predict the Hammerhead's return. Didn't Cortez say it was sent to the labs for engineering and such?

I expect it to be "repaired and improved" in a DLC.

As I kind of stated in another thread, I think it's too early for bioware to "fix" anything. So, if we really want this changed (and I hope you do!) we need to hunker in on this for the long haul. We need numbers, we need to be vocal, and we need to have well-thought arguments.

Spread the word, get bloggers in on this, spread it all over social media. I mean, if social media is powerful enough to help topple countries, certainly we could make a game company take notice. But the important thing is that we don't sound like trolls. The more clear and mature we are about this, the more likely they are to listen.

I wouldn't mind an Omega dlc.  I want other stuff too but it would be pretty interesting to see it under Cerberus control.

I tend to think you may be right here but I'm going to hope against the odds that you're wrong.  The only think I could think of was when Shepard woke up after the Reaper attacked, the rest was one of his dreams based upon the pain of his past.  Who knows, perhaps that's how they will fix things.

If they don't, well then I guess my Mass Effect games will be placed back into the desk to never see the light of day again.  :crying:

Maybe they'll make an exception? Create a new rule? Because yeah, if they don't fix it, my Mass Effect games won't be played ever again. I mean, what would be the point? To have almost the same endings, with 3 different choices that will lead to only 2 different 10sec cutscenes at the end(and 2 of those choices will lead to the same cutscene no matter what)? No, thanks.

It makes me sad, because I have always had faith in Bioware and believed they would make the ending of ME3 THE best ending EVER. :crying:

We need a group for this...the poll is nice, but a group would be better.

We can debate or theorize all we like but without even the admission or feasible possibility of BioWare recognizing what has happened and explaining themselves, apologizing or saying "we'll fix it", we really have nothing to go on.

I think they are just trying to get people not to sell their copies to gamestop or whatever to prevent lost sales.

I dunno the money I spent on a Special Edition...the longer I wait the less money I get back...I could get something with more replayability and no disappointing ending...like NBA2k12...no disappointment..no emotional investment...no damn near 500 dollars of money spent on 3 games to be totally wrecked.

You could also get it through other means possibly free or at least cheaper.

I agree with Both of these people, If Shep can unite the Galaxy then the same can be said for us.  We need to get organized, consoldate, and grow.

.....hold on.....wait for it....the endings are just dreams (ie, like the ones in each act) and this was their way to fire up all the fans and get them worked up. Future releases will be the true intended options....haha, one can only hope. Oh well, ME2 is still my favorite of the 3 no matter what..

Probably some token thing involving driving around in the Hammerhead. Browsing through the game's files, I found a few entries in the Coalesced that dealt with "vehicle" parameters. Since there is no vehicle driving in the main game, I expect it's there to facilitate future DLC.

Endings would be a great surprise, and very much welcome, but doubtful. To add more endings, or alter the existing ones, Bioware would have to admit they made an error in their choices. That isn't likely to happen.
