Probably some token thing involving driving around in the Hammerhead. Browsing through the game's files, I found a few entries in the Coalesced that dealt with "vehicle" parameters. Since there is no vehicle driving in the main game, I expect it's there to facilitate future DLC.
Endings would be a great surprise, and very much welcome, but doubtful. To add more endings, or alter the existing ones, Bioware would have to admit they made an error in their choices. That isn't likely to happen.
For them to Admit that they were wrong, they would have to ask EA for permission to apologize to the fans...
Hmm, EA admitting that they were wrong... outcome seems Problematic..

As I kind of stated in another thread, I think it's too early for bioware to "fix" anything. So, if we really want this changed (and I hope you do!) we need to hunker in on this for the long haul. We need numbers, we need to be vocal, and we need to have well-thought arguments.
Spread the word, get bloggers in on this, spread it all over social media. I mean, if social media is powerful enough to help topple countries, certainly we could make a game company take notice. But the important thing is that we don't sound like trolls. The more clear and mature we are about this, the more likely they are to listen.
I like this idea.

1) Tell everyone immediately what it is so that the only anguish from fans is the wait and annoyance at having a proper ending parcelled out. Take a hit to reputation and trust, but live to fight another day.
2) Keep it a secret until the PR arm of BioWare decides it is the optimal time to reveal. Probably at e3 in a couple of months. In the meantime, the fans build anger more and more, and lose more and more hope and love for the franchise and the company in the process.
Either way, you're taking a hit. They have to decide which option mitigates the largest amount of fallout. Personally, I think option number 1 is the one they should go for, but option number 2 is the one they WILL go for.

A third option does actually exist.
It's called admitted to a mistake and putting out your reasons for making it that way in a non confrontational manner and then agreeing to modify things, and as an apology, add some free DLC.

I think this is a bit silly. The two founders of BioWare are two of the most senior VPs of Electronic Arts.
They don't have to ask permission. That's passing the buck. They have all the control over this they will ever need. This is not Bullfrog. This is not Westwood.

My point isn't to get free dlc, it's to show you how BioWare could save face and at the same time show they cared about their community.

Fair enough. I just keep hearing that DLC line in every game forum ever so that it's become a bit of a button.

Been doing some resurch on google and there are no headlines from bloggers or online game reviewers about the anger ppl are having towards BW because of the s**tty ending. I am aware that it is only 3 days since launch day but still..... The bloggers i do find, talk about about the low score on metacritic and how people are only trolling. I wonder if anyone has tweeted Casey Hudson about the crappy ending.

Posté 09 mars 2012 - 06:57
Just have Casey get on the phone, call back the cinematics team from their holidays. Call back some animators. Call back some of the programmers. Just make it an emergency call like they do when a game launches with crippling bugs or errors.
And just whip up a decent ending for Christ's sakes.

You realize this is a long shot right? Far from a confirmation that what they're working on is related to the ending?
Agreed.
It'll probably be just "Galaxy at War " map packs, alternate outfits, and weapon packs.
And like what few other people have pointed out, all the threads relating to the endings have disappeared.
It seems more like they're pretending that the problem doesn't exist, rather than acknowledging it.
