Please be a DLC ending, for the love of god that is all I want for DLC.

Mass Effect 3 was one of the best games I've ever played until the end, It almost feels like a joke now :/

Because it is. Sadly.

I was such a loyal and hardcore ME fan (hell even a Bioware fan in general - And totally proud of it). And now...I honestly don't care about the future of the universe. How could I? At least I still have ME1 and ME2....they can't take my memories and love of those games away....even though it seems like they are trying hard to do so.

If they are listening they should actually say something concrete and soon. Not something vague and cryptic. You would think the fallout from DA2 would have taught them as well as the constant fallout from SWTOR. Negative PR can severely hurt a game and a company. I've seen it happen to Star Trek Online, with people crashing the BBB rating and spreading the bad word about the product, which decimated the gaming population to the point it had to go free to play just to stay on life support.

Bad PR might not hurt ME3 much now since people have bought the game but people will shun away from DLC that they have to pay for. People who have the game now might even refuse to buy store packs with bioware points on principle now. However this bad PR Bioware has been amassing over they years will make them lose long time fans. Even people who started out with Baldur's Gate can be turned Bioware. Just because some of us are long time customers doesn't mean you can just take us for granted.

Retcon the ending with a FREE DLC, and maybe people might be willing to just burn effigies of just a few people at Bioware.

Wow, moving the mega threads to a forum where they don't belong! Low scheme moderators. It really is time to get the press involved.

I agree. We should send emails to IGN or other gaming websites and possibly news outlets. I don't want people to bash the game, I love the game. I just want a real ending.

A free DLC is an awesome gesture but we have no right to expect it - they have completed a game and they have enough rights not to care about their fanbase(life is harsh).

My only hope is that EA wants to get a bit more money, this ending DLC is a golden vein. I do not trust that they release it but I hope. Mass Effect series is all about hope.

I think we, as a fanbase, need to move away from the push-button ending idea completely if we want any hopes of rectifying this fiasco. None of the prior ME games had "push a button to choose the ending you like" nor should they. Any RPG worth its salt will have an ending whose mechanics are (unless you work hard to figure them out and/or look them up) veiled and provides you with something that is actually the outcome of your choices.

I don't want a push-button option to get a good ending. I want my hard work over five years to get me a good ending.

If they cared they'd say something and also not lock tons of threads.

Every time I think of the ending to ME3 I think of the troll song.  Here is a handy video I made to demonstrate.

You're right, SonicAF, we don't have any right to expect or demand it.

But we can absolutely express our frustration and ask for it. Not ask that Bioware "make it right", but that they listen to their fanbase, who is largely very upset. I don't believe that we should ask them to do it for free, either, as they didn't do it wrong, they just didn't do what most of the fans expected.

Our best hope is to get an organized group together (I saw one on facebook, for instance), perhaps start a petition, and ask for some sort of compromise.

Exactly. They're closing or moving all the threads that hate the endings, and keeping all the ones that praise the crappy endings. Bioware is definitely losing my respect, and I used to defend them too.

From Michael Gamble's (producer for ME3) twitter account: "Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are planning...you'd, we'll [sic] - hold onto your copy of me3 forever."

So, something is coming. We don't know what.

But... I'm willing to have faith. This game, aside from the ending, has probably been the best one I've ever played, up there with titles like Half-Life 2 and Portal 2. This is word that we've not been abandoned, and for me at least, that is all I need.

/salute

We eagerly await more information, and for what it's worth... I sympathize. It must be rough seeing all the people come here and and say "THIS IS SO AMAZING BUT THE ENDING RUINS IT FOR ME" when you know you have plans.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to whatever they have planned.  And I do feel sympathetic toward Bioware since really the only part that people are having issues with is the ending.  The rest of the game was great, but the endings...

The fact none of your assets really mattered either, even in the battle scenes BEFORE the ending was also pretty annoying.

Everyone is in morning for their Shep - no reward for great effort. Isn't real life depressing enough?

A dlc could easily give us this:

If you stop Anderson from being executed, he goes up on the platform with you. Then, if you choose to synthesize and self sacrifice, Anderson wakes up because he's.... not quite dead, and he jumps in for you. Cut to LI finding your half dead body, wake up in the Normandy medbay - but only if you upgraded it in ME2 - lol, didn't think that upgrade was worth getting, eh?

Keep the relays intact, citadel intact, etc, etc A reward for real hardcore fans. Please BW. Before I have to fill jars with my tears and mail them to you.

Wait how can the relays be intact if they were overloaded?

Anderson isn't synthetic and didn't have all the experiences you did.

It's amazing how 20 minutes of a 20+ hour game made me lose all interest in the franchise. You have to try pretty hard to do that to someone, and I can't be the only one who feels this way.

Don't hold your breath. IGN is probably in the payrole. They gave the game a 9.5 and said it was one of the best ending ever.

I want to ask if they have even played any of the other games.

They are listening, but they also have to do damage control. They're getting flooded with messages that are inflammatory and threatening, which buries the rational and constructive critiques in a flood of temper tantrum posts. If they have to weed the threads in order to hear us better, by all means.

Exactly.

And I think there is a major differences between fans of the series and players that start (really, end) the series with ME3. Plus I have you seen the ME3 rewind trailers IGN did? They got SO much of their facts wrong. Any average player of the series wouldn't have said or confused the crap they did. Just bad.
