I think we have to regard that the poor guy have to handle every day with hundreds of criticial contributions and not all of them are friendly written. And he is forced to read them all - not a dream job I assume. He's a human as we are and humans can be frustrated sometimes. To me it's understandable: We are disappointed from the endings and BioWare is disappointed from "us fans". It's a doom lop, isn't? Personally I can't fully agree with him, but I can respect his mood. We should remember that there was a huge wave of overdrawn criticism against BioWare in the last months. (i.e. DA2 and then the unacceptable personal insults against a staff member.)fearan1 wrote...
This is directly quoted from from the moderator in the non spoiler forum Stanely Woo and shows that Bioware feels we are the problem not there game.
As for what a Fan is Stanley a fan of a company is someone who will buy your product sight unseen because they know it will be good Bioware has delivered 2 games in a row that a majority of people agree are not up to there past efforts so you will start to lose people I have every Bioware game released so I would consider myself a past "fan" and frankly I write my disapointment because I know you can do better. That is all I look forward to seeing what Biowares response to this mess is .
Quote is below
"I have always been an advocate for our fans being able to criticize our games, rave about them, and discuss them in our community. And for the most part, our fans have been doing an awesome job of talking about the BioWare games they love and what they love or don't love about them.
Lately, however, it seems that people are throwing around the term "fan" a little too loosely. The "fans" are demanding we change something, the "fans" will no longer purchase a BioWare game in the future because they didn't like the ending to one of our games, we have betrayed the "fans." Think about what it means to be a fan, and consider how much (or how little) of a fan you must be to be able to so easily dismiss us so hyperbolically. And then you want us to change for you, or cater to you?
Believe me, I'm fine with fairweather fans, just as I'm fine with casual fans, hardcore fans, longtime fans and newfound fans, but at least be honest about what kind of fan you are.
This thread is not really about Mass Effect 3, so I'm shutting it down.
End of line.
I wish to clarify one thing: I understand myself not as a "fan", but as a paying (and loyal) customer, and as a customer I'm very unsatisfyied with the endings. I'm not a wealthy man and games are very expensive in my country (100 USD für the DEE, but I wish tu support good games so I'm buying them at release), so I can't afford to pay such sums for a game that gives me bad feelings on the end instead rest and recovery.
Second point: There were promises (i.e. from Casey and Mike) for a different endings including a happy one - as a customer, I have to sustain on such promises when I'm thinking about a buy. That's business.
Again sorry for my bad English, it's actually not good enough for such long statements, but I wanted to say that though.
