Very well-written contribution, I can fully agree with that.Katsuya Kaiba wrote...
*rubs temples* Bioware fans, as of late, have been getting REALLY extreme, I will give the company that. Absolutely. I slapped my palm against my head when I heard about people threatening one of the devs. I rolled my eyes over people flipping out over the DLC. I shrugged when people were bashing the Multiplayer before anybody played it. And I sighed when people started bashing the game on Metacritic. This is not normal fandom behavior, I don't know what got into the fans when it came to this game around release time and some of the behavior was uncalled for.
But, as one of the fans who is more...sane...than some of them, I must kindly ask they take a step back, block out some of the more EXTREME posts on this subject, and read the ones that are very much written with thought put into them. Fans of the game who know the material. The same fans who point out Deception errors. These are the fans who are imbedded into your lore, invested time into reading and knowing about it, fans who also invested money because of their love of the lore.
The endings are not well, they are not what we think of when we think of the quality of Bioware. They are not of the same level of quality as the previous endings, of the games, of the game it ends Bioware. If you have something wonderful planned down the line, then I wait patiently for it. However, if you wish to let this sit as is, I implore you, as a fan, to take that step back and look at it again. We have been with you through three games, many books, and other media. We would like some closure at some point.
Thank you.
They're listening!

I honestly don't care what they come up with at this point, I just want a true "Shepard lives" ending, not Shepard on the brink of death, barely breathing with burnt up armor.
I want him to destroy the damn Reapers, have Joker pull his ass off the Citadel in the Normandy and end up in the arms of and embracing his LI (for me, Liara) and be okay.
As opposed to flashing everyone with one of three neon colors? Hell yes.

I get that the devs must be feeling a overwhelmed right now. It's probably been a rough week and no matter how disappointed people are there is never an excuse for personal attacks and rudeness. And I have great respect for them, they produced an amazing game, right up until the end it was one of the best games I have ever played. I'm just desperately hoping that they hear us and give us something, anything, to make the ending better.
Like I've said before... let's wait. Even though it hurts.

Vandalisme, most people are feeling that it is the latter without saying so. We're trying to dress it up in pretty words and hope that Bioware will listen, but they probably won't, or I'm horribly cynical, so I really don't give a crap about. When you make a product and people pay for it you should expect criticism and be able to take it, it is your job as a storyteller to sort through the criticisms, ignore the insults, and learn from your mistakes to do better. If you're too sensitive for that then you have no right to write for anyone but yourself.
Believe it or not...Bioware does listen. It listened to us when it came to Dragon Age 2, and I have to say the work they put into Legacy, which was their 'We're sorry' project was amazing. Give them a time to let everything sink in, see what they do afterwards.

tbh i think thats the mistake bioware is making
this is just my opinion as a fan of mass effect but cant we all agree ever since bioware stated we listen to the fans that the fans themselves do in fact take advantage of it and hold them to it?
like i said im not trying to get a war going im just trying to throw in some sanity for a change

I honestly think that's why they get as much FIRE as they do. Valve has
the same type of fanbase but they don't put out as many games as Bioware
does so the fan input isn't really seen or be put into any action as it
were. Because Bioware is so social with it's fans, I think they take it
for granted. Helpful, constructive input is always good for a company.
However, when they start getting a mob mentality things can go south quickly. Bioware is seen as the stepping stone of the current trend of RPGs and because they have that label, people expect alot out of them. It's like Squaresoft back in the day and I think fans are afraid Bioware might go down the same path.

So the reaction to a leak is to completely change it because it was leaked? I'm sorry, I don't buy that, Gears of War's script was leaked and they didn't feel like anyone had to change a damn thing and people were content with the story with the ending feeling appropriate for that type of game. With Mass Effect 3, the consensus is that the game is amazing up to the ending, which feels horribly inappropriate and out of place in a mostly groundes science fiction space opera/war story against a FORMERLY lovecraftian horror.
like i said it is a theory and the most likely possibility
another poster brought up some other endings regarding dark energy that was thrown out so
also note that bioware and epic are 2 completley differnt comapnies
bioware is more of a hush hush dont reveal anything wile epic dosent really care and i say this NOT in a negative way either
one companie likes to keep it a suprise wile the other basicly cares less either way because to epic gears will sell regardless spoiled or not

Sorry, I'm not buying it, you think you're the beacon of sanity, which is egotistical, and frankly up until now you've been a complete jerk to the many many -many- people who have had legitimate gripes with the game whether they were themselves nutters or not. You've been condescending, you've been rude, and overall no one has any reason to like or agree with you. I respect that you enjoy the ending, but don't tell other people to shush up and be quiet just because you think Bioware, as a company or as individual employees, have incredibly frail egos and need to be safeguarded from harsh criticism. Telling them to jump off a cliff is wrong, but giving them a scathing a review is not.

The truth this way comes...
In one sentence: Shepard is really unconscious on Earth still and the last 10 mins of the game are an indoctrination dream sequence testing his resolve to follow through and destroy the reapers. Which is why if you choose to do so and you have a high enough score you will see Shepard wake up in the rubble on Earth where he was incapacitated.
That was actually two sentences but much more concise then reading everything else that was mentioned in that thread. However, if you want evidence to support the concept then you might have to read through the thread to find most of it...which is easy...just look for the long numbered posts and most of the info is in there.

Sounds a little bit hopeful to me, so perhaps I will play ME3 again. A little hint from BioWare would be appreciated indeed.

so wait im a jerk because i dont go out of my way to be some internet bad ass by calling the writters lazy let alone make up a very small majority of people who liked the ending?
if you want to see a jerk look in a mirror because i dont sit here 24 hours a day and obsess about how awfull a 10 minute cutscene is
i mean ffs people grow a pair and act adult about it.
theres no reason for name calling let alone multiple threads on the same damn topic.
you know what after this display by you people i hope bioware dosent do dlc because you people will never be happy
its you people who are killing this franchise not the devs
ill give the examples
mwaaaaaaah i hate the mako
me2 comes along makos gone
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmwah me2 isnt a rpg they sold out and catered to the shooters
mmmmmmmmmmmwah i want me1 squad back
me3 comes along with more rpg elements
wahwahwah no veichle exploration
mmmmmmmmmmwuaaaaaa i want me2 squad back
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmwah the endings are terrible so the whole game fails
you people sound like some cry babies who need to get out more because you dont know what the heck you want

go search around march 2011 you'll see what i mean
truth is fans are never happy
only thing is im the gutsy one to actually say it
the devs cant because it makes them look bad from a career standpoint
its easy to deny any involvment when you can just blame everything on ea or bioware sinc epeople dont want to take respocibility for there comments
