Keep the hope up guys!

However, don't go expecting that the first DLC will be some fix for the ending.

I will bet it will be an Omega-Story DLC (Aria retaking Omega etc) and some MP map packs etc etc.

... What I'm just saying... ;P

Hope is a good thing maybe the best of things.
Here's to hoping BW fixes the endings. It'll restore alot of my opinion of them. It's also the only DLC ill drop $ for from here on out until it is fixed.

I take it that means there will be story DLC. I was wondering if they were going to make some. No new endings though. While I have no problem with them, I actually like the endings, seeing Bioware cave and change their story just because of a few comments would really make me lose a little respect for them. Not a lot, but a little.

Wow you do know this is a game. Grow a pair and move on, play something different that doesn't make you waaaaaaah so much.

The only way that they can fix this is to completely negate the final battle not just the last 5 mins of dialog. One of the core problems with the way that they ended things is that the importance of building your fleet and uniting the galaxy is lost. The pace of the story masks this but the more time you are giving to think about what the game actually was in the end the more dissatisfying it becomes.

They aren't going to fix the game unless they have DLC that completely re-writes the ending from the start of re-taking earth on. And put in a system like how ME2 ended where you have to assign task and carry out a strike plan. The decisions that you made shape what you are capable of accomplishing. It wont happen - they wont do that.

We are going to get a side story with more info about reaper origins or something like at which point I will pass. Even though I bought all the other addons. This ending killed the franchise.  I will laugh so hard if its multiplayer based deathmatch.

Can't agree more. In my opinion, the story after the assult on illusive man's base should be rewritten. It's the only way to make the story more logical and to make some sense. The space battle between reaper and allied fleet should be the climax, just as it was in ME1, not some stupid operation  to cover ground force to land. They won't do it because it's too complicated.

Hell i don't need any of this, the way the reapers were beaten wasn't really that bad, i had no problem with the catalyst or anything. I HAD a problem with my shepard being dead or stranded with no way of ever reaching her crew.

I would at this point pay $10 for a scene where after the Normany crash lands we fast forward like a year and see Liara with a little blue baby and my Shepard comes out and puts her arms around Liara. Makes no sense! I don't know how it happened! But i don't care! I want to feel an emotion towards these endings besides despair and hate...

Games like books and movies and plays were designed to evoke some type of emotion in particular genres, it's not unusual to cry at a movie or a book or a play, nor a game.

If Bioware wants to get away with selling a "good ending" DLC, they NEED to toss in at least another story-based mission and some free MP map packs.

That alone, will be more than enough to satiate a great deal of you guys, yes?

Halo 3 ending was great. The best in the series so far. However, from what I hear the ME3 endings will be better. I don't know this for sure though, as I have only read spoilers.

Does anyoen even want more maps for the multiplayer? BioWare is not a multiplayer company, focusing on it in any capacity outside of the war assets increase for readiness is just gonna divert even more development funds.

A few comments? You kidding right? The ending was so bad that ME3 has 0 replay value. Stop acting like its a few ppl. This is huge issue in the game. If I had the box version of the game I sell it instantly, I'm pretty a majority would have no probelm selling it back or trading it in.

Look at polls.

It's a trap!

He doesn't want people to sell their used copies of the game this early because they don't make any $ of it! Don't fall for this easy trick. Thats probably why they added Multiplayer too. They are smart.

0 replay value? Calm your horses. Adding a happy ending would hardly increase the replay value beyond 2 if you're correct. Personally, I thought it was a satisfactory ending with some need for more clarification.

I understand the need for a lot of people to get a more happy closure but the emotional ovveraction (which is understandable) is simply that... an overreaction.

Mass Effect 3 is a great game with a controversial ending.

If you want a happy ending, go work to pester Bioware about it rather than sitting our asses and telling everyone how "godawful ME is because it doesn't have the ending we expected"

But what kind of "new direction" places a premium on a vague and unsatisfying ending to a series that's been years in the making? I don't think ME3's ending can be justified that way. If it was simply a new direction then it wouldn't be generating near-universal confusion and anger.

Almost every other gaming site is expressing the same sentiments from the community, agree or understand the endings or not, you can't deny that without being ignorant.

I won't jump to conclusions yet. We don't even know if this is in reference to any sort of DLC related to the endings. I'm not setting myself up for the disappointment this time.

That's merely what BioWare's retort was, in quotes.

Haven't finished yet. However I just read up on the different endings.

I don't think I'm going to finish the game, unless Bioware patches in a handful of new, and better endings.

Doesn't have to be "Me and my Love Interest on a beach, with a family and a dog" sort of happy. I would really love a Return of the Jedi "We just killed the Reapers!" celebration sort of ending. Actually, I think that'd be the best possible ending for the game, personally.

The fact is, none of these endings enforce the concept of a "hopeful future in peril" which Casey Hudson stated the series was meant to portray. But there's nothing hopeful about any of those endings.

And destroying the Normandy is like destroying the Millenium Falcon. :\\

Image IPB  Yes, it had a plot. A very cleshayed plot, but a plot. It told it's story well for an FPS.  Image IPB
