I literally cried and cried over the endings, I still feel deeply depressed about it all now. Gief good ending DLC and I will buy it but honestly curse you bioware for falling under EAs money greedy hammer. I remember the days when you would treat your fans well and we would get DLC for free because we had already forked out the the entire game.

Guys, if you want anything positive to come out of this, you can't yell at Bioware, you can't make demands, and you have to be careful not to be seen as petulant, ungrateful people.

I guarantee that if you demand an apology and free DLC, you will get neither.

As crude as it is, yes, bioware is a business. They have our money. If we are seen as whiny brats, they're not going to be inclined to spend any more time and money on us. If, however, they understand that we love their products, and that we are not asking them to scrap everything, just to give us DLC with a choice the fans feel is more in line with the series - and that we're willing to pay for it - we have a better chance of them listening.

I think the root of the problem is not so much with the actual endings as that they don't fall in line with any of the stories we were telling with our Shepards. After a series built on our choices, these endings stripped us of all choices and tossed us into a box. It's legitimate to be upset, but it's how we act that will determine whether Bioware will want to work with us.

There is a group starting to form on facebook, and we want numbers. We want to approach Bioware respectfully and work with them to get what we're looking for. If you're on board with this, please join us. Spread the word. Social media is a powerful thing - it can topple governments, for crying out loud. We can certainly get Bioware's attention - but we want to make sure that attention is positive.

Yes, there are a lot of trolls, but there's been so much less trolling on this than I've seen with complaints about other games. This game is fantastic. They know it, we know it. I want to support Bioware any way I can, because I KNOW they could have done better with the ending: the rest of the game proves it. I can forgive a collective brain-fart on their part - they're human, I want their game to be the masterpiece it deserves to be, and that's the vibe I get from almost all of the tens of thousands of posts (that I've read, anyway :kissing: )

After what I was exposed to last night, how can I possibly accept anything Bioware says on faith, anymore? The ball is in their court, now. They can either repair it or leave it in the darkness they thrust it into...

I'd.totally love to see a few armor DLC packs. I'm jealous of the ones the Cerberus troops have. I hope that will be available to us soon.

I'll gladly pay them $50 just to get a fully furnished DLC ending, rather than this deus ex crap.

And that's exactly what Bioware/EA is hoping for, most likely.

"Let's give them an absolutely horrible ending that's just split into three colours! The fans will rage, then we'll make DLC to give them the actual endings and sell it for $10! It's genius!"

Here's what I'm going to do, I'm 24 years old, a full time college student, I'm married, and I have some discretionary income... I'm exactly Bioware's target demographic... If this game doesn't get fixed, I'll never buy another Bioware product again, that is how I'm going to handle it, and I know I'm not alone... I may even sell my xbox and all of my games on craigslist... Definitely extreme, but I don't have the time anymore to invest in garbage like I was handed...

Keep away from video games and focus on other sutff, that may be the good side of ME3 ending...from this perspective, i can't say it's a bad ending. :D

Bad attempt to troll...
Learn how to do it correctly for Bioware.
Look at the endings and tell me that isn't the biggest troll in gaming history.

Also I may have figured out how we got the ending we did, this coming From Mac Walters on twitter.

"Yeah! Back on the plane. Many margaritas later. We are late... But delightfully oblivious."

Also in true stuck up fashion he ignores what looks like, all users who have issue with the story.

I find it hard to believe how their "plans" will make the ending any less awful.

Even if they miraculously did, there is a ton of damage done. I can't unsee what I have seen. I cant replay the game. Hell I cant even replay older titles.

This is probably in the top 5 biggest f-ups in gaming history.

I'm with you.  The game was so great, and felt like such a fitting end to the series, right up until the last 5-10 minutes.  This is still a fixable error in my book.  I don't see it as hurting the integrity of the art to alter the last few minutes of what amounts to about 90 hours of greatness.

We've seen plot related things get changed in other games.  Fallout 3 changed it's ending with DLC, and nobody accused Bethesda of losing integrity.  Sucker Punch changed the main character of Infamous back to his original look and people appreciated seeing that their voice mattered.

We've even seen Bioware acknowledge that the Deception novel had clear problems that will be fixed in future editions. (Yes, it's more abou continuity errors, but at least it shows willingness to listen)

Slightly amused, it will be funny to see all you humans frantically replaying Mass Effect 3 once Bioware releases the additional DLCs that will increase your readiness rating to a level that provides the ending everyone desires. Proudly, humans can learn so much from our disposition and patience.

I think it's more likely that Mac Walters actually thought the endings were well written.

Some bioware employee leaked the upcoming dlc's.

We are going to get omega, some appearances, weapons, some dopey romance dlc and something with Shepherd exploring alien ruins.

The endings right now are final.

From Michael Gamble's (producer for ME3) twitter account: "Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are planning...you'd, we'll [sic] - hold onto your copy of me3 forever."

So, something is coming. We don't know what.

But... I'm willing to have faith. This game, aside from the ending, has probably been the best one I've ever played, up there with titles like Half-Life 2 and Portal 2. This is word that we've not been abandoned, and for me at least, that is all I need.

I agree fully :D

Readiness levels are pretty much a non-issue, since you can effectively double your level by engaging in lots of multi-player.  Anything that relies on Readiness to remain hidden merely risks pissing off all of the players who don't want to engage in multi-player.

I suppose my initial reaction is that changing the ending through DLC would be bad.

However, I guess Fallout 3 did it successfully.
