I would to. We all would, and forget the OEM ending like a red-headed step child.

They could have dropped the multiplayer for a better ending...... Seriously ... Multiplayer against bots... WTF i was doing that back in Quake 1 and 2 days... I was hoping for Co-OP in the campaign..... tsk tsk... got rich.... got paid.... rip da fans.....
I got a feeling our beloved MassEffect series was highjacked by the man and now we are getting dumped on with more worthless multiplayer options.... This game wont stack up against games like BF3 so to me its wasted Resources!

Sorry if I also don't make sense, I improvised my text and thought while writing it.
But with an ending like this, they removed any post-completion DLC possibilities, leaving only small lore DLC (Eden Prime / Omega perhaps) that few people will care because of the ending or multiplayer things.
In the first case, aka lore-story DLC, why people would bother playing them knowing the outcome? Let's take ME2. We had post-completion DLC (Arrival/Overlord/Shadowbroker to name a few), some that even gave you the opportunity to explore planets. These DLC gave us the feeling of continuing the story while waiting for ME3. We could even get new squad members after the Collector Base because we had ME3 in mind: "Even if they weren't there for the Collector Base, they might be useful for ME3".
But with ME3, it's the end, and it's even worse with the actual 'definitive' ending we got. Releasing pre-completion DLC would be useless, people wouldn't care completing them because they can't have in mind that it will have an impact in a future game and they won't have the motivation to go through it because 'whatever they do, Shep' dies anyway'.
I could see a Taking Back Omega DLC along with From Ashes. New Squad members and this. Why not. But if they want to motive the player who finished the game to go through their new product, they need to repair the ending first, to give the players an objective, a reason to go through the DLC other than just having new contents.
Then, we have an issue. ME2 was built so we have a post-completion mode, I mean that we can save after the final mission and continue to visit the planets, the cities, etc. So adding new DLC was pretty easy. ME3 wasn't made that way. If we save after the credit, we get back before the Ceberus base mission. After the game, the Mass Relays are in ruin, so are the Earth. The Normandy is on a random planet. There is no way we can have post-game DLC/Gameplays. It would take one hell of a DLC just to put back the Normandy in command, remove all the Reapers from the galaxy map, explain the return of the Mass Relay/Citadel... Except if:
1- The DLC is about another character (unlikely, ME was always about Shepard)
2- The DLC stay focus on the Sol system with Shepard exploring? (unlikely, exploring without the Normandy is ... well... pointless)
3- It's about fighting our way out of a virtual Citadel (see below) or the Citadel's debris, but with the Reapers gone in both case, there won't be much opponents.
So I just don't see how they can go through this imo, they put themselve in a corner here. We might get a new DLC that happens right after the end, but nothing more.
The only thing that could avoid them to go through the whole ending process would be to release another pre-completion DLC where we learn that the Shepard who died on the Citadel was a clone (as hinted by Shepard in the Ceberus base).
They hinted with a cutscene that Shepard was alive in Destruction (we see him/her breathes). Shepard's soul/mind could be very alive inside the Citadel for the Control ending too. There is also potential in these, but I doubt they'll go through it.
Then, we have the multiplayer. We might see Krogan or new races to unlock, maybe new maps, new modes... But a very few people might just not buy them because not only the actual MP gives enough already, but because Multiplayer isn't the point of Mass Effect.

I personally didn't truly buy from EA no more and was only a full Bioware supporter.
So technically Bioware have a high chance of losing a fan/customer

I have to agree. I own just about everything they've done except for Jade Empire. I own all the Forgotten Realms games (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, etc., etc.), KOTOR 1 & 2 and TOR, and all 3 ME games ... and after disappointment with TOR and now this absolutely disgusting and insulting ending in ME3, I'm totally done buying their stuff. It's heart-breaking actually, as I feel like I've lost a good friend in Bioware ... but to have all my work mean nothing is ... well, insulting is all I can think of.

Meaning nothing in two ways.
One way is no closure in what happened (dying for nothing/stranded).
And then all of it never happening because it's just a stupid story from an old man.

I for one will hope for the best, a genuine disney ending dlc, but I will plan on the worst, a multiplayer map pack for a multiplayer that has no purpose when I cant bring myself to play single player.

I never wanted MP to begin with the moment I heard it. I had hope if they were going to go through with it they would make a whole diffrent game to it. Idk who thought the COD players where going to come to ME for their MP fix.
I just want one ending thats a good ending. And one "YOU DUN GOOFED" ending. I haven't done )nor will I untill the fix their endings( done a run through with my other Sheps so I don't even know how they handled say your romance with Jack or Thane. I just want bioware for one to admit that they screwed a majorty of the fans (not all, some people like the endings and if they do im happy and jealous of them) and try to rebuild the bridges they burned and not put up a toll both after the fix it. <_<

Another thought occurred to me in terms of the possibility of a better ending to the Mass Effect series. The Mass Effect live-action movie is still in the works. With any luck, the movie script could be re-written to provide some closure! I know it's not quite as personal an ending as we would like, since our game experiences are unique and will likely differ from what happens in the movies, but it's at least a little something to hope for.

Ehhhh. This is cold comfort for people who want some kind of closure with their LI. Since MovieShep is a man I'd never able to get that happy ending with Garrus.Blindspy wrote...

Well if I wanted "waking/dreams with kids" I would have played more fable 2 (I do not and didn't)

I lol'ed. I'm hopeful. But ..I expect very little. The ball was dropped on the endings here on an otherwise great (but buggy ) game. I want my "Little blue babies" Dlc...but i expect map packs with like... Elcore Vanguards.
That or like... a next cycle MMO. Which..while that would be swell..It doesn't make the endings any better.

Its unfortunate, but with EA now in charge and them now wanting multi player in every game, Bioware's golden days of solid story telling RPG's are a thing of the past. Look at their track record lately, DA2, TOR, and now ME3, they all are seriously underwhelming in some way shape or form.
Seriously, what was the point of gathering all those resources and forces for? They did not in anyway seem to matter in the end...AT ALL. It was just like a time killer to make the game longer.
How cool would it have been to be able to micro manage those forces and place them in areas and missions to help beat the reapers? If you don't place them or deploy them the right way, THAT should be how the ending is decided, like how it was in ME2 when u picked and chose your squad for various missions and that determined if they lived or not.
The plot was great, I loved the story, but the ending was horrible, and no choice mattered...it was quite simply, a disaster.
I have lost all faith in Bioware, and just because of this slap in the fact ending I am canceling my TOR sub...yes...I am THAT passionate about this.

Apparently, if you work hard enough for War Assets, have enough Paragon points (and other parameters I don't know), you get a glimpse of Shepard breathing under debris after the Destroy ending. It's the best ending we can have lol.

I had 100% green bar on the resources and I was pretty high on the paragon scale. i actually had 100% completion in ALL systems because I gathered every freakin' resource I could find. Guess i just wasn't "paragon" enough...which is in itself absolutely stupid.

I have hope that what ever this is that Bioware is planning will end up doing the series a world of good. I have sympathy for someone like Michael; it must be hard to see this many people go against something you have created. But the only way from here is up!!! I will continue to have hope!

3 games over 5 years to get boned in the end. Yeah I'll pay an extra $10 if that's what it takes.
