So, something is coming. We don't know what.
But... I'm willing to have faith. This game, aside from the ending, has probably been the best one I've ever played, up there with titles like Half-Life 2 and Portal 2. This is word that we've not been abandoned, and for me at least, that is all I need.
/salute
We eagerly await more information, and for what it's worth... I sympathize. It must be rough seeing all the people come here and and say "THIS IS SO AMAZING BUT THE ENDING RUINS IT FOR ME" when you know you have plans.
This has made my day as Shepard would say "Hope is a human trait." I think its dirty to make the REAL endings and closures a DLC. But if thats what it takes and if this project they claim to be working on will make us hold on to our copy forever i will keep playing, and pray to the Asari goddesses that this is solved. They cannot deny all the backlash is more than valid. We are not spoiled brat fans, but we expect things from Bioware that they have always given us in game. Now i got to wait months to see this Miracle DLC he claims will make us Adore ME3 even after all the pain its caused. WE will see Mike Gamble the fate of your fan base depends on it!

Apparently, if you work hard enough for War Assets, have enough Paragon points (and other parameters I don't know), you get a glimpse of Shepard breathing under debris after the Destroy ending. It's the best ending we can have lol.
I had 100% green bar on the resources and I was pretty high on the paragon scale. i actually had 100% completion in ALL systems because I gathered every freakin' resource I could find. Guess i just wasn't "paragon" enough...which is in itself absolutely stupid.
Same, but that's what I've been told. I've yet to see an official statement about how to get that cutscene.

1) I'm curious about the context of the tweet that o/p referrs to. Was it in response to player's responses to the way the game ended?
2) Knowing some people in the marketing profession, I can't help but feel they deliberately packaged the game with dissapointing endings in order to get the response I've been seeing -- namely that people would pay money for a DLC just for a satisfying ending.

To hell with that. Unless this "real ending" is a full on mission up to or exceeding the caliber of LotSB, then I'll Youtube it. If BioWare wants any more of my money, they have to earn it because after how the series conclusions. Well sufficie it to say my wallet is closed off to them.

Unfortunately we have many threads discussing these same points and as such I am closing this thread in hopes that people will consolidate their ideas/opinions into the mega threads.
Implies that the dev team is reading these threads and hopefully plans on using our feedback.

The Mass Effect Relays where all destroyed no matter what ending you picked. What kind of DLC is going to make up for that.
One that integrates itself into the plot just before the kid nonsense, perhaps omitting him entirely. Basically, it would be like in ME2 if they added DLC that allowed you to hand over the Collector base to the Alliance. It would fit snugly into the dialogue wheel or have a secondary route objective to unlock it. Fallout 3 does this supposedly, although I have no played the series.

This could just be ADDITIONAL content, like Omega for all we know.
Agreed. It's much more likely that Bioware is just going to release Omega or other pre-completion DLC.
I've only seen one or two reviews that discuss the disappointing endings for ME3, and until that information is more widely circulated, I doubt Bioware is going to respond.
Even if they do respond, i'd expect something simliar to a Dragon Age 2 response. "We support our writers and developers decision to end the trilogy." Or, "We've spoken to many of our fans who say that they love the choices we've made available to close out the trilogy."
I'm hopeful, but it would be a miracle if they offered some endings that made sense and had epilogues or evidence of paying attention to your choices through the trilogy.
Also - maybe ditch the kids voice....seriously...its weakens the end scene a lot, maybe some of shepards dialogue too, in fact - that whole scene. It feels like it belongs in a game that is not Mass Effect.
But yeah - ME3 looks like it has a lots...holes (for search of a better word) that are going to be filled with DLC at various parts.

It's nice to know our feedback is not going on ignored. You get the feeling there are allot of devs who would look at the press reviews and be happy with the game regardless of what the fans say. If Bioware takes the fans comments into consideration and takes action on it, then they will surely gain some respect from a decent amount of people.

I got it by picking Destroy the Reapers, and my Readiness was at 100%. Still wasn't able to convince the Illusive Man to kill himself, but I got to have the talk with Anderson before he died.
edit: I don't know if the MP really had the effect, but if it did, that completely sucks. Yeah it only takes a few hours of MP to get your Readiness up to 100% but still that's bull**** for a game that is meant to be single player first.

You have to use paragon / renegade persuade when you first speak to him with the investigative action at the start of the game - if you don't do that - you canna get him to do that.

1.Anticipated such a strong reaction. 2. Anticipated such a UNIFIED reaction.
The endings are universally panned, it pulled together a community that was busy fighting over the option to make Kaiden bisexual a few weeks ago,and complaining about multiplayer being implemented. This is a big unified front of 'We're not happy' I imagine it takes a while to formulate a response when you've upset so many people, from die hard's to casual fans.
I sincerely hope we hear something soon however, because as it stands...just kinda feel totally bummed out by these endings. Some hope would be nice.

You already have everything you need in the game to achieve the minor variations on the ending. So what are they going to add that's so compelling, even though it makes no difference to how screwed you are in the end?
The ending makes it nearly impossible for me to consider playing either ME or ME2 ever again; I certainly won't be tempted to play ME3 again by some new outfits or a random mission.

If anyone finds more information I would be very interested. I hope this is not some "keep your save and get a new gun in Mass Effect: Galaxies!". If this is infact something to fix the endings I will be happy. Should they have had it right the first time? Yes. Should they have a second chance to make things right? Yes. If they make it free, or package it with enough worthy content, my trust, and that of many others will be restored.
People are talking to Mike Gamble about it on his Twitter page, so he is aware now.

I loved the ending for Halo 3. Entirely consistent with the narrative style, satisfying, beautiful epilogue which is still better than most military movies... ME3's ending got no where close the Halo 3 in this respect.
