From Michael Gamble's (producer for ME3) twitter account: "Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are planning...you'd, we'll [sic] - hold onto your copy of me3 forever."

So, something is coming. We don't know what.

But... I'm willing to have faith. This game, aside from the ending, has probably been the best one I've ever played, up there with titles like Half-Life 2 and Portal 2. This is word that we've not been abandoned, and for me at least, that is all I need.

/salute

We eagerly await more information, and for what it's worth... I sympathize. It must be rough seeing all the people come here and and say "THIS IS SO AMAZING BUT THE ENDING RUINS IT FOR ME" when you know you have plans.

there is no proof that this has anything to do with the endingand although I can only speek for myself I think if there are no alternate ending DLC I won't be getting any of the other DLC even if it is as good as LOSB and I I won't be the only one. EA/BW F up hear and it may even kill the franchise as a whole I know I won't be buying any DLC other than ending DLC.

I hope that not only does the mythical dlc give the option for a better ending but also the ability to keep playing after you beat the game if you got the best ending. That was one of the top things that I was looking forward to after playing Mass Effect 2. That way years from now I could still be flying around with my crew on the Normandy. An improved version of the Mass Effect 2 version is all they would have to do.

I got it by picking Destroy the Reapers, and my Readiness was at 100%. Still wasn't able to convince the Illusive Man to kill himself, but I got to have the talk with Anderson before he died.

edit: I don't know if the MP really had the effect, but if it did, that completely sucks. Yeah it only takes a few hours of MP to get  your Readiness up to 100% but still that's bull**** for a game that is meant to be single player first.

According to the guide, you have to reach 4000 readiness and "save" Anderson at the end (which you did since you got the talk) or 5000 readiness and you can save or not save Anderson.  You then have to pick the option to destroy the Reapers.  Anything less than 4000 effective readiness (again, according to the guide) and Shepard won't live in any situation.

You have to do a lot of things just right, sometimes going back to ME1 or ME2, to make reaching that number without playing multiplayer easy.

I played through the first 2 ME games at least 4 times each. I bought all the DLC. Its gonnna be hard to get through this one twice given the ending.

I'm okay with seeing the promised land from the mountaintop and not getting there yourself. This is a consistent meme of the tragic hero. Trouble is, no one gets there. So what was the point?

One of BioWare's talking points during the promotion of the game was "You can't save everyone" Well it turns out you can't save anyone.

Also who the heck would pay for additional DLC to help Aria retake Omega from a bunch of Cerberus mooks when you know its all for nothing. Pretty pointless given you know being Queen of Omega is just as pointless as everything else after the endgame.

Basically if they make any downloadable content that isn't a new ending, then I doubt many fans will buy it. However, if they make new endings first, release them and then release other missions, then I'm sure they will get their customers.

They could mean things ONLY related to multiplayer. We don't know.

Doesn't mean anything, OP. Most likely it's pre-ending DLC and\\or multiplayer maps, as it was mentioned they would make these. However, it was also mentioned that there will be no post-game DLC. So don't get your hopes high.

I'm definitely going to have to get on this message board more after this if all this works and we get our endings. It's amazing how so many people united for a common goal. A great bunch of people.

And here I thought they were more interested in pleasing their new audience of CoD clones than appealing to us loyal fans.

I don't doubt there will be a Mass Effect 4; it just won't star Commander Shepard.

While I will be watching to see what comes, this doesn't convince me that they are planning anything related to the endings. The same comment could just as easily apply to a literal hard days work planning features and DLC that have absolutely nothing to do with endings or the amount of players that are frustrated and/or distraught after finishing the game. It could also mean that they have a bunch of stuff to release soonish (again, that has no bearing on the endings) and he really wanted to share that information and couldn't).

I'm glad their at least reading the mega-threads regarding the endings, but until I see proof and context that Twitter comment means little to me.

See my post above. :P

I mean if this Catalyst was so smart it would've assumed the form of Shepard's LI and not some random child.

I didn't mind, in fact, I actually liked it. It was nice to get a look inside Shepard's head.

I liked the voices of the fallen playing in the sequence, not the child.
