This was pretty much my reaction....although I think I had more fun playing through the core experience of the game than the OP did haha. No amount of fun would have been worth the series-ruining endings that were offered, however. What has been seen and (semi?) comprehended, cannot be unseen and, well, "de"-comprehended lol. I just picked up Chrono Trigger on my iPhone and I am so much more deeply satisfied with my experience thus far. I hear it's a crappy port of the original game, too! :/

Agree OP. Game was disappointing in a number of areas, not just the ending which was very poor IMO.

I'm glad some people liked it but I believe that they are in the minority. We all entitled to like or dislike according to our own tastes. However, long term success of the company and its products will be the only thing that matters. For me, things don't look good for BW. It feels like BW is trying to make their games appeal to an wider an audience but are finding none. Nothing wrong with expanding the player audience but do it like Skyrim did. Whether you like Skyrim or not, they knew who their audience was and picked up lots of new players along the way. Word of mouth is still the best marketing format. At the moment BW try and hide their games short comings behind flashy marketing. I don't doubt they can still make great games but something feels off with BW at the moment. Just look at DA2 and now ME3. I dont say ME3 was as bad as DA2 but then again what is?

Personally, I have also stopped buying BW and EA games, I just don't like their product anymore. I know it wont affect them but its the principle for me. Also, I believe BW were misleading in their statements leading up to the release of ME3, that did more damage for me than the actual game. I won't buy any product from a any company that misleads (lies) to me.

Just my thoughts...

Making blanket declarations of a group based on the failure or success of one example from said group is poor form. For the investment of time and caring that modern games elicit from us, it is more wise to evaluate each title individually than to judge them all by who produced them.

Dragon age: Origins = Amazing
Dragon Age 2 = Garbage

Kotor      = Amazing
Kotor 2    = Thrilling
SWTOR   = Garbage

Mass Effect = Orgasm
Mass Effect 2 = OMGyes
Mass Effect 3 = Garbage

"blanket declarations" my ass. Bioware has REALLY dropped the ball
