Ok, I just completed ME:3 a few moments ago with my Paragon Shepard and no matter what I did, I could never get the readiness above 50%.  So, when I started the end of the game, I again chose the Paragon choice to kill the synthetics.  He stayed true to Ashley but from what I can tell, She and Shepard both die?  And what's with the crash of the Normandy?

Seriously, did I screw something up because WTF did I buy this game only to have such a terrible ending like this?

Nope. Even if you did everything you possibly could, the endings are all incredibly dismal.

No what you got is normal.

There are different endings, but they're all bad.

Readiness doesn't go anywhere without multiplayer, the total assets is based on Singleplayer.

It's too early for devs to quarantine ending discussions. The game just came out and people just finished it. Multiple threads actually provides more prominent and fruitful discussion of the ending since any single thread eventually devolves into only a small few keeping the discussion alive.

Seriously, this "ending" really upsets me in ways I can't really put into words. Mass Effect was my favorite game/story concept that I've ever played only to see it end like this? I wish now I'd never played the damn thing!

scratch the old ending, insert new and improved ending, and I got myself a perfect game here. I mean it's like something AVGN would say: "what were they thinking?!" They even teased at building tali's home on rannoch I was like ohh snap *of course then immediately got trolled by another can't see her face shot* but that's forgiveable. Then, it failed to deliver when it mattered most. Fact is currently ME3's endings are garbage.

You're not alone. A lot of people feel this way, and I can't imagin what Monday is going to be like around here after the EU people have had the weekend to play the game. The game was fantastic until the ending...

Am I the only one who thought of Derpy Hooves? Yes? Okay. :(

Back on topic, you need 5000 EMS for the best possible ending, and even that is pretty bleak.

All the endings were morally grey. ALso, you need 4K EMS pre EC and 3.1K EMS post EC

But yeah...it is kinda like that...
