I think many of us are having trouble locating the "unique" items ingame, so I am making a list of how to obtain them. Some of them I haven't found yet, if anyone wishes to contribute please do so and lets hope this post will be of use for people who wish to find them asap.

Greataxes:

Axe of the Vasoth - Found during the final battle in Denerim market, loot general for it.

Faith's Edge - Found in Heaven ruined temple, loot Kolgrim for it.

Griffons Beak - Reward from Zathrian for killing witherfang and aquiring her heart to heal the elves. (Thanks to Haplose for the info.)

Maetashear War Axe -  Found in High dragons corpse.

Greatswords:

Ageless -  Found in Orzamar throne room.
This is a bit tricky. You can only obtain this sword ONLY before you deal with the anvil of the void, so even if you are in the dead treanches you can return to claim it. First put your party in hold position mode, now before you enter the throne room you will see a big black square on the floor, leave one party member there. Enter the throne room and go to the left wall, on the floor you will see two bricks that look like pentagons ( they are different color from the floor so you can distinguish them), place a party member on each of them. Finaly aproach the throne itself with your main char, the doors will close and a small dragon will spawn. Kill the little bugger for the sword.

Summer sword - Found in ser Cauthrien's corpse. You have 2 chances to kill her for it. Either when you rescue the queen in the arl of Denerims estate, or just before the landsmeet.

Yusaris - Found in the circle tower base floor.
The trick here is to solve the statue puzzle in the 3rd floor. When you enter the big hall on the 3rd floor you will see 3 statues on the right wall.Face the wall and  click them ONLY once with this order: 1st the left one which seems to be holding something like a vase/plate/something. 2nd the right one holding a sword UP. 3rd the middle one holding a sword facing DOWN. Go about you bussiness exploring the floor, inside the middle room which you enter anyway to advance to the next floor you will find some demons/abominations. Kill them all and click the statue holding a shield. If you did this right a floating text will appear saying something like: "Something has been unleashed on the base floor". Now return to the exact same spot when you found Wynne look to the wall for the basement door, it will seem locked, click it anyway. A demon will spawn, kill the pest and claim this awesome blade.

Shaperate's Blessing - If anyone has aquired it please do share how.

Longswords:


King Maric's Blade -  as stated in the forum this items has not been implement into the game campaign(yet?), so no need to look for it.

Keening Blade - Found in Gaxxkangs corpse (random drop, you either get this or a shield, both are awesome btw)

Ser Garlen's sword - In ostagar talk to the elf leaving the quarter master as you first approach him and tell him you are to deliver the sword.

Spellweaver -  Found on the cultist overseer's corpse in the egg chamber of the ruined temple in Haven.

The Green blade - In Redcliffe during your first visit, inside kaitlynn's home, 2nd floor. Use persuade/intimidate on Bevin to give you the key for the chest in the houses 2nd floor.

Topsider's Honor - Found in Ortan Thaig in the warriors grave after you get all 3 parts:Hilt, pommel, blade. the pommel is inside a vase in Rukhs cave, the blade is lootable from "ancient darkspawn in the dead treanches, and the hilt from a genlock overseer in Caridins cross.

[Haplose]

Griffons Beak - it's a reward from Zevarian from the Dalish Elves for bringing him the heart of Witherfang (as far as I could see could only be obtained if you solve this quest by siding with him and killing the werewolves). I don't know if it matters but I also forced him to visit The Lady first.

Played a Rogue (Archer build) so decided to contribute some additional weapon type information.



Daggers: Really interesting b/c both unique daggers I used were associated with Shale in some way.



Olaf's Cheese Knife - Available while completing quest to receive appropriate commands to reanimate Shale. Red Steel Dagger offers +1% Armour Protection and 2 rune slots



Dead Thaig Shanker - Available after battling Ogre Alpha in C. Thaig that Shale adds to your Deep Roads Map when going to investigate her origin. Silverite Dagger offers +5 cunning, .5% Armour Protection, +6 attack, and interrupts spell casting with 2 rune slots as well. (Great Mage killer when stealthed)



Shortbows:



Dark Moon - Available as a very worthwhile purchase from Dalish Elf Weapon/Armour Merchant in Brecillian Forest. Best shortbow in game (based on my playthrough) and available very early in game. Dragonthorn Shortbow with +2 willpower, 10% Nature Resistance, +1.5% Armour Penetration



LongBows:



Spear Thrower - Excellent loot off of the Forge Master in the Deep Roads (along with a really cool Maul if you have a 2H Warrior). Sylvanwood Bow with Rapid Aim, +2.5% Armour Penetration



Bow of the Golden Sun - Available on corpse of very talented archer nemesis prior to facing the Slaver Boss in the Elven Alienage. This weapon also has a well written Codex. Sylvanwood Bow with +4 attack



Marjolaine's Recurve - Available after confronting (killing or dismissing) Marjolaine in Denerim. It is only available as a weapon for Leliana, but deserves mention. Dragonthorn Bow with +3 cunning, +3 damage, and Rapid Aim.



Mabari Collar:



Pure **** Braid - Available off of looted corpse of High Dragon. Best collar in game with +8 attack and +8 armour.

Colma, gamebanshee indeed has info about the items details but not how to obtain many of these. This post's purpose is for fellow gamers to share their experience and knowledge to obtain those pieces of equipment. For example it does not list how exactly to obtain "Ageless" (I mean solving the puzzle in the throne room) or griffon's beak.

can u still get the griffon's beak if you're origin is a dalish elf

because whenever i start the dalish quest

there isn;t any dialog choice where i can ask for a reward\\

I've done this quest several times, including both Dalish and City elves, but usually either kill Z (counts as "siding with the werewolves") or convince him to cure the weres even though that kills him (counts as "siding with the elves"). I've never done the "Kill Witherfang" ending -- but I've seen many reports from people who did. If you're asking this question and you've not gotten all the way to the very end, then I'd expect that it *will* give you this item at the end.



Unless you want "immunity from flanking" or are trying to store up electricity resistance for Awakening, Griffon's Beak is only a "meh" weapon anyway. There's a much better axe in the Orzammar quest chain.
