The ending was a massive failure. Sure the Reaper threat is destroyed, but my crew... Garrus, Ash, all of them dead. Sheperd dead. This is not the ending I imagined that BioWare would give us. I've been so dedicated in this series and to see it all end up in a **** storm makes it feel like a waste of time. What was the point if everyone just dies, my entire crew, the Normany, and Sheperd? Wasn't the point to save humanity? My crew, my beloved ship.

It all just feels pointless, and I feel like I've lost something from it myself so much so that I deleted my ending save because I could not accept that it played out like that.

Are the other endings better? Is it possible to continue on? To save everyone and not destroy the Relys? If not I don't see a the point ever ending this game again.

The Relays obviously had to die, I think anyone understand that they were Reaper technology could see that coming. You can't build a superweapon targeting the reapers and not somehow destroy their technology at the same time if you want to kill them all that at once that is.

The game kind of ends in a short-term for a lot of people but in the long-term the reapers don't come and kill you all and so in that regards building back up over a few thousand years makes a lot of sense and is logical.

Is it "positive" perhaps not, but it shows hope and a potential future, I just wish they iterated this more clearly.

And your crew is on some planet somewhere.

I feel the same way you do. There are variations on the endings, but there is no happy ending. The Normandy will always get magically transported to Gilligan's Planet. Depending on how well you played, some of the crew does survive. But they're probably trapped there forever.

If you play really, reeeeally well, you'll get a short scene of Shepard twitching under a pile of rubble.

I hope reeeeally well means getting a score of 5000 from multiplayer. I'd like for Sheperd to atleast live and my crew deserted on "Gilligans island. Then atleast in my mind I know that Sheperd will find a way to rescue them, which is a far better ending that the **** I got.

Someone give OP a hug. He really sounds like he needs it. :P

They are variations to the endings.

Just not the ones you want.

Well this is the end of Shepard's story. Have to have someway of making her/him stay down/dead

Hmm I got the ending in which all my squad mates throughout all 3 games were waiting for me in church. They were waiting for me so we could crossover.

But seriously, I just finished and don't know what the hell just happened.

You have some good points and overall you've made a well worded, interesting post. Unfortunately our team cannot view every post on the forums so I ask that you merge yourself into one of the mega threads in hopes that your opinion doesnt get lost in the thousands upon thousands of posts here.

As there are a lot of threads on this same topic I am closing this thread.
