Just received this quest from an Elcor on the Presidium Embassies, but I cannot land on his planet. It took a bit of searching too, since the game wasn't telling me where to go. When I did finally find his planet I couldn't do anything with it.

Im not sure if scanning near the planet helps. I scanned and the planet showed up with something of interest. Before i could get to the planet reapers were chasing me. I left the that system and went back a few times but there were always reapers there so i just said forget it.

Stay close to the planet and press use that "scan" thingy which alerts reapers nearby (right mouse for the PC). Then scan the planet and find the anomaly.

Yeah, I tried scanning, nothing popped up, and that system was already 100% clear.

You may hav already looted the war asset from the planet. If that is the case go back to the ambassador and you will complete the mission by talking to him again.

It kinda pisses me off that its implied as a rescue mission, but its really only a scan mission...

yeah had that problem assumed it was a mission was infact scan and pan, already scanned the area as it popped up before I talked to the elcor he was as happy an elcor can get when I told him I had saved his people...
