Headline says it all, it has connected a time or two, but around 90% of the time, it will not connect. I've taken the network troubleshooting steps, got my pc set up at DMZ and everything now. I would love to try ME3's multiplayer, but it's not cooperated. It HAS worked, like I say, but only a couple of times. What's going on Bioware, this is starting to get a bit old. The game is unbelievable by the way, nicely done, but this is starting to wear a bit...

Same thing is happening to me but I haven't even connected once. I've created a topic about this but no one from CS replied. If this keeps happening, how are we suppose to get DLC from the New Content feature when it cannot connect to EA servers???

Yeah I haven't picked up the dlc, but if I had, I wouldn't be able to use it. Looks like I may have to give them a call tomorrow if this can't get resolved quickly.

i just did a quick search on google about this and i found this solution which solved my problem.
forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/15/8239036.page

"Solved it.Go here C:\\Windows\\System32\\drivers\\etc
open the host file with text opener then delete all entries ending with
ea.com and save the file.Screw EA.If I have to wait for them to solve
my issue it would be mass effect 4 time.EA is totally useless.Total
disappointment in service quality. No more in supporting EA games for me."

for whatever reason, i had 6 entries ending in ea.com in my host file. i removed all of the entries, fired up ME3 and now it connects to server.

thanks for the idea man and I'm glad it worked for you, didn't work for me unfortunately. Didn't have any ea.com entries in my hosts or lmhosts. I'll keep trying stuff.

I'll be damned...went into my documents/bioware/mass effect 3/biogame/config and deleted my onlineprofile.profile and it logged right in.

Ok i did some digging(nslookup) on the ea servers.. I had the same problem just yet, searched for ea servers and forwarded the only ip i found thorugh my primary connection (which is static IP) with good dns servers - seemed to fix it.
- Deleting profile didn't work, reinstalling i didn't even try.

- For everybody who has nothing in his/her hosts file - you could try add swdns.ea.com or sedns.ea.com as dns server in your connection settings as primary. (although web query might be slow if you're not in the US - if i understand the naming of the servers right)

I also had to abandon any advanced router security settings. It would be good to know what the ports and protocols are.

Edit: IMHO it is either a DNS or a nat-routing problem, so best EA could do is give us some recommendations or IPs/Ports, i don't think they can run diagnostics on our home networks.

I'm frequently getting disconnected from matches, somewhere in the range of 4 out of every 5 matches.  It's getting overly frustrating, and EA's help section is a flippin' joke when it comes to actually fixing something.

Would doing this help frequent disconnects or would I need to find another solution?

Cannot connect to the garbage Mass Effect 3 server.

Oh and btw, I know it's not Origin/EA's front, it's BIOWARE's front. I loaded into Battlefield 3 and got into a game just fine.

God damn it Bioware, sometimes you make me really wonder if I should continue patronizing you.

I get an "EA servers unavailable at this time" on the main menu screen every time but it was working fine before today. None of these solutions helped me. I already had activated my DLC and used it though, now I can't even load my save games. What was wrong with the system from previous Bioware games where you only had to activate it the first time? Any suggestions?

They need to update the consumer protection laws in the US so I would be able to sue EA for keeping me from using an item I have paid for.

I tried deleted the onlineprofile.profile thing, and that did nothing.

What DID work for me was closing down Origin and re-opening it.  After doing that, I connected to the EA servers just fine.  Hope this helps someone.  :)

This keep happening. After connecting I still can't load my save game because it says I'm missing From Ashes DLC - I just keep closing and opening the game for ~ 15 times before I can play it.....

I got the same error message earlier but apparently it was because there was a new patch that I didn't have yet. Exited the game, did a check for update in Origin and was able to log in again.

I have this issue as well. None of the solutions above helped.

What the heck, BioWare?! I paid for this game and I want to play it! But it won't let me load my save because it cannot "authorize" the From Ashes DLC!! First the face importing and now this! Good job!

Agree and yet again i feel like all the people who pirated this game are just laughing at the poor suckers who paid for it and still cant play.
