open the host file with text opener then delete all entries ending with
ea.com and save the file.Screw EA.If I have to wait for them to solve
my issue it would be mass effect 4 time.EA is totally useless.Total
disappointment in service quality. No more in supporting EA games for me."
for whatever reason, i had 6 entries ending in ea.com in my host file. i removed all of the entries, fired up ME3 and now it connects to server.

- Deleting profile didn't work, reinstalling i didn't even try.
- For everybody who has nothing in his/her hosts file - you could try add swdns.ea.com or sedns.ea.com as dns server in your connection settings as primary. (although web query might be slow if you're not in the US - if i understand the naming of the servers right)
I also had to abandon any advanced router security settings. It would be good to know what the ports and protocols are.
Edit: IMHO it is either a DNS or a nat-routing problem, so best EA could do is give us some recommendations or IPs/Ports, i don't think they can run diagnostics on our home networks.

I'm frequently getting disconnected from matches, somewhere in the range of 4 out of every 5 matches. It's getting overly frustrating, and EA's help section is a flippin' joke when it comes to actually fixing something.
Would doing this help frequent disconnects or would I need to find another solution?

Oh and btw, I know it's not Origin/EA's front, it's BIOWARE's front. I loaded into Battlefield 3 and got into a game just fine.
God damn it Bioware, sometimes you make me really wonder if I should continue patronizing you.

I get an "EA servers unavailable at this time" on the main menu screen every time but it was working fine before today. None of these solutions helped me. I already had activated my DLC and used it though, now I can't even load my save games. What was wrong with the system from previous Bioware games where you only had to activate it the first time? Any suggestions?
Same thing happening with me. It was Fine this morning and early this afternoon (UK Time) but have been unable to connect since. I wouldn't mind much if it only affrcted mp but its affecting my saves as it can't authorize from ashes. Its so Frustrating.

What DID work for me was closing down Origin and re-opening it. After doing that, I connected to the EA servers just fine. Hope this helps someone.

What the heck, BioWare?! I paid for this game and I want to play it! But it won't let me load my save because it cannot "authorize" the From Ashes DLC!! First the face importing and now this! Good job!

Agree and yet again i feel like all the people who pirated this game are just laughing at the poor suckers who paid for it and still cant play.
