Another day wasted trying to get this thing working again. And of course it did nothing but WASTE MY TIME. I'm really starting to loathe that annoying ambient noise at the main menu and at the "The EA Server is unavailable" screen.

I would LOVE to be able to do the Halloween challenge if someone would just help me figure out WHY I CAN'T LOG ONTO THE SERVER...

I just spent half an hour talking to EA Support and after running through half a dozen things I knew wouldn't work I got nowhere. She elevated the issue to the senior team, but of course it'll take them a week to get back to me.

I am having the same issue, I've emailed them and they got back to me saying their 'Expert Team' will look at the problem (I've tried almost everything to fix it...) and get back to me by the latest today. Except I don't have an email yet, so it isn't looking promising.

Was thinking about doing a system restore back to when it was working...but not tried yet.

Rubbish.

Never mind how long it takes to start up thanks to the ridiculous 'checking downloadable content' (twice) nonsense.

Failing to connect to the servers is a given. Failing to connect multiple times is a given. When it does connect it fails to check that I have any DLC. I might get 10 mins of playing after an hour of fannying about... only to lose connection (for both SP and MP).

Who is responsible for this hideous filth that is the consistent failure of the the EA/ME3 servers? Whom do I send a steaming bucket full of human faeces to to register my complaint.

The word 'Epic' is not nearly epic enough to describe this EPIC FAIL.

why not send a missive to one of the gaming review groups about how horrible the "EA Online Experiance" is especially when you combine it with "Origin"

who knows some report writer might even dig into the issue and publicly shame Ea into dropping there nasty DRM system...

That week maybe be longer I've been waiting for almost two now and resubmitted an email about it. Needless to say it's frustrating. It's been over two months since I've been able to play a game I paid for. No solution has been found nor has anyone tried to assure me that their working on it. Come december my comp may end up getting a format C:That could solve the issue.

I created an account here just so I can post about this annoying issue.

I bought ME3 and all associated DLC and I can't play it because the game can't connect to EA's servers and authenticate.

This on a fresh Windows 8 installation with everything working properly (no other games or programs report connection issues).

This situation is truly appalling. I hope a solution is found soon - even a refund would be acceptable.

Why oh why couldn't ME3 be on Steam? :(

you need to run an elevated comand promt and change your default setting to disable ecn

google for win8 disable ECN i'm sure someone has made a post about it already

but ECN is disabled by default on Win7 & Win 8. It's currently disabled on my system.

So that's not the cause of the problem...

Hi everyone,

I had this problem for months. Now suddenly I can connect. My game updated before it launched, and then it worked as it should and connected to the server with no issue (to bad I don't have time to play atm).

Just to let anyone who's having this problem know, I did absolutely everything with no result. Ports, firewalls, registry, updates, uninstalls, reinstalls, other wireless networks, temp files, the lot. Now it's working and I have no idea why. Just hope this continues.

Not only that, but it kept saying WE ARE UNABLE TO LIST YOUR DLC. And every time I go to Multiplayer NONE of the DLC packs I bought were present! I've reconnected to the network MANY times and none of the DLC shows up....

holy crap Its working again. YAY. Thank you to those who mentioned that it was otherwise I probably would have ignored the game for another week. I wish a solution could've been found sooner but I'm glad its working again.

Yep working for me again too via the update, although never heard back from EA and their 'Expert Team'. But my game is working so I am happy, for the time being. :)

The servers aren't down for me - in fact the past few weeks they've been working fine.
There seems to be a really, really horrible latency problem though, same as I used to experience when I initially bought ME3.

Don't bother telling me it's on my side. It's not. There's something wrong with EA's servers and it'll actually save the company some bad reputation (and lots of future hassle!) to maybe just look into the actual problem. I mean...come on?

Working again for me too after the update yesterday morning my time..I didn't make any adjustments to get this working. So its either an OS update from you know who for PC users or the update from EA/Bioware. Guess who gets my vote!

Sorry Bioware, but the service is disappointing. As many others, I keep on being kicked out from the MP games and I've followed all the advices from the thread...I even got a connection error on SP that sent me to the main menu. Hope to see some fix soon

I know its a real pain and sorry if you have already tried this but have you tried repairing ME3 and all, if any, DLC that you may have purchased since original ME3? Might be worth a go. Does seem as if the problem has been fixed for a lot of us.

Ok, today I will repair the ME3 installation and Origin as well (with all my DLCs) all I will post any news. Still, thanks for the help
