This is bull****. I got the same problem. Cant even play SP cause of the authorization failure of from ashes. Been trying to play for 1.5 hours now! Anyone got a fix yet? Deleting OnlineProfile.profile didnt work for me, nor did the hostfile change.

Add my name to the chorus. This is absurd, unable to load a save because I can't authorize use of something I paid for? Time to check for an entry on Joystiq, Kotaku, etc.

Its 12:44pm EST and I just logged into Error, The Mass Effect Servers are Unabvailble at this time, try again later as soon as it automaticaly goes to the resume screen and can't play the game because it can't validate the install of ashes. <bummer>

I don't believe this is on on our end so nothing we do to our profiles or whatever reinstalling the game won't help this is a BW problem with their servers, this wouldn't be an issue except they implemented the Multiplayer aspect into the game so they use servers.

Confirmed I can start a new game with no issues, so the problem is specifically with authorizing the DLC. Good show Bioware, good show.

I updated, but to no effect. I just played a couple of hours singleplayer, after spending 2 hours (2 HOURS!!) trying to do so. But now it's the same problem.

Also; can log into mulitplayer, custumize my characters etc. But can't seem to join a game...

Arh...Same problem here. I did try every suggestions that mentioned above but still can not connect to EA server.

Edit:
It looks like EA servers are functioning again. You can try it now. :)

ALRIGHT HERE IT IS GUYS...I'M SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS BUT OTHERWISE I DON'T BELIEVE YOU'D SEE IT. CLICK YOUR OPTIONS BUTTON IN ORIGIN, CLICK SETTINGS, CLICK THE GENERAL TAB AT THE TOP AND SCROLL DOWN TO WHERE IT SAYS AUTOMATICALLY KEEP ORIGIN UP TO DATE AND PUT A CHECK IN THE BOX. RESTART ORIGIN AND THEN UPDATE MASS EFFECT 3. That fixed my problem so far, I hope you all have the same luck....

Apparently, Origin does not update automatically. This is a problem because if you don't have the latest Origin, you can't download the latest update for Mass Effect 3. Make sure origin is up to date, then when you patch ME3, it should work. I've ran it 5 times now and I've connected to EA servers every time.

This worked for me yesterday, but now we're right back to being non-functional this morning. Forcing an authorization every time you play single player is the essence of stupidity. It will not stop a single pirate and only serves to agitate/annoy loyal, paying customers. This is just another example of an unimaginative, ineffectual "solution" to a universally recognized problem. Once again, the only people suffering are those that actually paid for the game!

A lot, I guess. And even if this is fixed, we will still be stuck with the DRM system.

I want to play my game offline as well, dangit!

I do not understand this... When at home - connection works fine; At college - servers are magically unavailable. Me and my brother use the same account, he connected to the servers, logged out and let me to connect. I couldnt. So its not problem of the account, its not problem of the computer or game (I played the DLC at home), I added exceptions to the firewall, I dont have any anti-virus blocking it and everything is updated... >:(

I tried it for 2 hours for reconnecting EA servers. Oh man this is terrible!
I spent 120 dollars for ME3 CE from Amazon(I live in Taiwan, no EA publisher hence the shipment) and this is all I can get? Arh.....

If any on of you running Peerblock make sure it is disabled. It blocks EA server IP's. Also take a look at this Topic, I made something that might help you guys.

Check this post out: http://social.biowar...4/index/9744660

@unokolo
If it works at your house and not at college then its the Colleges security and you can't do anything about it. Most colleges block online play from certain games including WoW. Especially when people play games on network it will slow down their conenction.

I have been able to connect to game everytime and never had issues. Windows firewall you could disable since it takes more than just allowing game in firewall to make it work. Basically when I looked at advanced settings in firewall Mass Effect 3 was being only allowed through one type of port and connection. So I tweaked it so that it allows any one (UDP IP ect.).  I was running PeerBlock and it blocked the game from connecting to EA.

Another discovery I've found is that Wireless AP might block your EA servers traffic as well. If I connect to the internet by LAN, it all works fine in game.

nothing is working. Read this entire forum, did everything I could on my end and "We Are Sorry but EA doesn't like your kind on our servers. Please give up"
