Here is a fix that has worked for me every time. All you do is minimize it while it is trying to connect with the EA servers. I can't explain why this works, but it does. I can then play multi-player fine, as well as having all my DLC authorized properly. Its worth giving it a shot, I would be interested to see if its consistent among others.

@Pickels340
Didn't work for me.

Then again, I'm at school. But since I can go on Origin, I don't think they have blocked it.

I'll check it again when I'm home.

minimising didnt work for me either, i have a feeling it has something to do with me3 dropping my net speed to almost noting while it is trying to connect to the server. No other game does this and i am not sure why it is doing this but during the "connecting to ea server" screen any download i am doing drops to 1 or 2 kps, and if i try browsing on the net it wont load the page until i get the ea servers are unavailable error.

Not sure if you guys done this but check for updates for ME3. There is a small 25mb update. After that I could connect to quick games fine. Unfortunately, my Origin friend list is not loading. :P

Try running the command prompt as administrator (can be done by going. Start –> Accessories –> right click on command prompt –> run as admin) and typing

netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled

Exit the command prompt and try to connect.

Another way of doing this is to download tcp optimizer and setting ECN to disabled.

It is a possible solution to some, not all.

For me it was Origin. Had put comp to sleep. Came back and origin was still running... which is weird because i'm sure I exited it via the menu... anyway, it wasn't connecting to my friends list.

Started the game... can't connect to ME servers...

Exited the game, then origin. Started origin again, friends list populated and ME3 started and communicated...

I really am starting to hate Origin.

Thanks for that. That seems to have been the problem I was having too. Restarting Origin fixed it. How annoying.

Yup, looks like origin was the culprit for me, too. Grr.

(Also, it deactivates your DLC if it can't connect to origin. That irritates me quite a bit.)

I tried a few things, but this was the last thing I tried before it started working:

command prompt
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
netsh winsock reset
reboot

other things I tried: in Origin, make sure "keep origin up to date" is checked; right click on game & choose Check for Updates; delete %userprofile%\\documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Config\\OnlineProfile.profile; delete OfflineCache from C:\\ProgramData\\Origin\\DownloadCache\\<email>

So I tried that... when I attempted to start up ME3 I connected, immediately disconnected, and was told the servers are down.

I would like to add that I tried playing ME3 when offline completely (turned off wireless networks etc.) while on holiday and single player worked fine, it didn't even hassle me over from the ashes. But when online connection could be possible, it throws everything back in my face.
Sort this out EA/Bioware, ME2 worked fine when you had all but shut down any servers it had

And even a month after that, I still have this error. With all the people buying this game during the Amazon sale, I'm appalled this error still remains. Absolutely unacceptable.

I have the same problem. Please file a ticket to https://help.ea.com/. I hope this will help give enough data that the error can be found and solved.

I'm having this error right now. It says it's connecting, then it freezes and says the servers aren't available.

This is embarrassing for EA. I just downloaded the leviathan DLC and I am not able to play because the game is not able to connect to the servers !!
I am just reinstalling all DLCs to see wether this solves the problem.

Someone else on a different topic had the same problem you seem to be having.
Red1580 wrote...

I was planing on buying Leviathan, but i guess i can't because I keep getting disconnected from the EA servers, so it wont be authorized to be used. Dang it.
I've had this same problem for close to 3 weeks now and I have only just installed and played Leviathan little over 24 hours ago and it works. Just download and install Leviathan and disconnect your computer from the internet untill you have gotten into the game itself and loaded your save, then you can reconnect your computer and it will still let you play Leviathan without scyncing with the obviously deffective servers.

I'm having the same issues u guys are having but with me it started in the middle of a game.
I was in wave 5 on gold, got kicked out of the game and of the server.
I can get back on the server but it freezes when I trie to create a game or trie to join one.

Bioware; I'll love u for fixing this. U'll suck if u don't.

What? EA servers being all flakey and unable to be connected to? Oh the shock.

Been trying all day to buy the Leviathan DLC and it keeps telling me in Origin that there servers are too busy and to try again in a few minutes.

EA - your servers suck.
