This is embarrassing for EA. I just downloaded the leviathan DLC and I am not able to play because the game is not able to connect to the servers !!
I am just reinstalling all DLCs to see wether this solves the problem.

If you disable your network adapter and run it offline it works, with all the DLC as well.

This is seriously getting old. I'm getting it constantly while trying to log in now.

thats because the whole EA server is down atm

I sure as hell hope they are running more than one server, man!  They most likely have multiple data centers!  I wonder how many ME3 servers there are, though...

If you're getting the DLC not authenticated error play ME3 with origin in offline mode. Not a fix for the server connection problem (Both problems seem to be connected) which EA and Bioware SHOULD BE TRYING TO FIX because this sh*t it happening to way too many people and I want to finish my new playthrough to see the new EC but I can't get onto multiplayer to get to 100% galactic readiness.

Still down for me.

Oddly enough, another computer on the same network can connect, just not the one I'm on.

It is totally random for me. Some days I can play for hours without any issues while others I can't get past game search if I am lucky to get that far.

bad analogy, fed up with what?
that a gaming company cant fess up that they have a problem that is big that needs to be fixed?
or that ea forces the gaming companies to just not fix those problems because they are time consuming and costs money

and for the record i havent been able to play mass effect 3s multiplayer or singelplayer for at least a week now

Just thought I'd chime in, this "Mass Effect 3 Servers are unavailable at this time" error is happening to me, too. Has been happening since, what, August?

Reinstall didn't fix it. Reinstalling the DLC didn't fix it. Moving to a different internet network didn't fix it, either. I'm convinced that the EA servers are attempting to interact with something client-side, and failing about 95% of the time. I can occasionally, actually about 1 in 20 times, manage to get a connection and once I'm in, it plays fine. The only other problem in-game is the occasional loss of connection while attempting to access the store.

Apparently this isn't just me, which is somewhat relieving, but at the same time... It kinda makes you wonder, is the problem confusing even the EA support teams, or are they just not getting around to it?

I suppose it might be worth mentioning my installed DLC and system set-up.
DLC: Rebellion, Resurgence, Earth, Extended Cut.
System: Windows 7 Home Premium, i7 processor 720QM, ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5650 graphics card. Not that I expect any of that to be the problem, but there's always the chance.

EDIT: Definitely before August, now that I think about it. Not sure exactly when it started. Somewhere between may and august, I know that.

I've been happily playing ME3 since launch day without any set back.

Today, however, I bought the Leviathan DLC, and since then I can no longer use any DLC (not even the free content, like the Extended Cut). Whenever I launch the game and leave the intro screen, my menu freezes for 15 seconds and then tells me that I can't connect to the ME3 servers, and that my DLC has been de-authorized.

If there's a fix, I'd love to know it. Thanks!

I was having this problem with a new computer I just got last night. Trying to get into ME3 servers today, I kept getting the "...servers are unavailable..." messages. I tried a bunch of times and finally got in, but kept getting disconnected from games in the later waves. I then searched, and found the following solution in an old thread. Since I made these changes, I've had five games to extraction - no disconnects. I don't know if it's really a fix, or if things just got better connectionwise, but it SEEMS to work, Maybe it will work for others having a problem. Note that UPnP was enabled in my router by default, and I disabled it at the same time as I made these other changes. Also, I port forwarded ports 3659 and 6000 in my router. All these things together is working now. I hope it lasts!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kind of fix - Windows 7 64bit
Edit: Discovered a kind of fix for it - however - sometimes 'quick match' sits there at connecting for eternity - and lag increase seems higher more frequently - however - have only experienced one disconnect in 5 games. Worth a shot if you're having trouble.

1) Go to start and run Services.msc (it will have a little cog icon when you search for it)

2) Scroll down the list and disable UPnP Device Host - (should be set to manual)
3) Scroll down and set SSDP to manual and stop if running.
4) Go to your Network and Sharing Center - Advanced Sharing Settings - and tick 'Turn off network discovery'

Seemed to resolve the issues (also to note is I had UPnP disabled in my modem settings prior to doing this steps from previous trouble shooting - so unsure if that would make a difference, but at this time, justy happy to be able to complete a few MP games).

Tried the above fix. Didn't work for me (on Win7 64bit too). I think it was probably just a coincidence, either that or there are a number of different issues that can cause this. The error suddenly started happening to me two days ago. Had Leviathan DLC fine, finished it, did last weekends MP mission. Tried to log in to collect my rewards and it seems I cannot. Nothing has changed at my end between playing fine last weekend and not being able to connect now. This is pathetic.

I'm so fed up with issues due to Origin and the EA Servers. I think it's safe to say ME3 will be the last EA game I bother to fork out my hard earned money for.

Sorry to hear you're still having problems, Fenrisfil. I'm still having a small problem getting the initial connect, but once I'm connected, it's been rock solid. I've played at least 30 games since the "fix" with no disconnects. If I get the "...servers are unavailable message..." I shut down ME3 and restart from Origin. Usually I get connected on the 2nd try. I found if I keep trying to "connect" while in ME3 it usually doesn't work.

Has anyone tried reinstalling Origin? I just wanna know if someone else has tried before I do. I've been having problems since Wednesday, and I'm furious by this point. Knowing how this whole thing works, you know we won't get back onto the server until it's too late to collect our packs. This is getting ridiculous...

I tried your solution to no avail. Every time I launch ME3, I still get the error message; I cannot access any of my DLC, nor any past saves (which included From Ashes).

This is becoming frustrating. I bought Leviathan the day that this error began, and I'd like to play what I bought rather than see $10 go to waste.

I'm going to keep bumping all three of the "server issue" threads so when the devs get back online and decide to check the forums they see how much trouble we're having.

I find the message saying "Unable to authorize listed DLC. Please log in to the Alliance Network with the account used to purchase the DLC" absolutely unaccceptable. I even find it unacceptable that someone got the idea to actively program this shıt into the game. There are too many problems with connecting to the server. We want to be able to play Mass Effect 3 Single Player, even if we can't connect to the server. And we insist on it. There is no way Bioware and/or EA Games can keep this (un)feature. We have paid for the game and the DLCs - and we insist that we can play the game with the DLCs without connecting to the server.

It is stuff like this that make crack versions of the game absolutely legitimate. I prefer to honour the developpers like I honour musicians by buying their records and going to their concerts.

From a ghost hacker

I also find any kind of censorship unacceptable. I will say shıt when it is appropriate.

A little trick that I discovered. Launch the game, wait until it says "can't connect to EA servers", then go to multi-player. Wait until you get in, and exit to the main menu immediately. It will display a galaxy map, then after a bit of delay it will start verifying DLC again. Usually it succeeds and single-player can be played again.

I've concluded that the fixes I outlined (not MINE, BTW - these are things I compiled from many different threads) work wonders for the in game disconnect problem. I have not had a single disconnect while playing since I applied the fixes. However, making the initial connect is another matter. Often, it hangs at 5% on cloud syncing. I have to exit Origina and restart it. Then, I still get the "servers unavailable" thing pretty much all the time on the first try. I don't have the Leviathan DLC, so I can't comment on whether that makes things worse.
BTW, this is happening in Ukraine. I had none of these connection problems back home in the States. I haven't been home since September 5th, so I hope when I get back home in the middle of October that will still be the case.

We should file a lawsuit against them...

This problem has persisted one way or another for seven months, and I see no response from any staff member of Technical Support. Why don't we file a lawsuit against the company for that message? This message: "Unable to authorize listed DLC. Please log in to the Alliance Network with the account used to purchase the DLC".

The reason is that it takes too much effort.

But they must reprogram the game so we can play Mass Effect 3 with DLC regardless of being able to connect to the god damn server!
