Can an entire group of people file a lawsuit? I'm tempted...
Or maybe a boycott. I wonder if they'd lose money if multiplayer activity suddenly suffered a drastic drop.

But how many have that problem? We are like max 20 in this thread with this problem. Why don't we hear about thousands with this problem? I really doubt that we could affect multiplayer activity. Especially when we can't connect to either single-player or multiplayer either way. =P

This is still getting annoying, though - no one who can do anything about it is listening to us! Maybe just posting a rally to boycott will get somebody's attention, 'cause nothing else has been...

I did in fact get a usable response from a staff member of EA:

"Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

First of all,
please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your
query. Owing to the inflow of Emails, we could not respond immediately.

Having
reviewed your email, I understand your point completely. In fact, I
would have been equally annoyed as you are right now. Please repair the
game. To do so, please perform the following troubleshooting steps:

Login to Origin
Right click on game icon.
Click on “repair install”
It will download update of the game.
Launch the game and it should work.

For
any help with the steps above, please do not hesitate to approach us.
Alternatively, please visit our online knowledge base here: http://help.ea.com/
At Electronic Arts, we value your co-operation and efforts.

Regards,

Ugh, faaaaaaiiiiiiiiil. Where do I go to file a complaint? I'm beginning to wonder if I've been banned without knowing it or something, but for what, I don't know. o.O

Well I posted on the Mass Effect 3 facebook page against purchasing the DLC for the PC. It's a rip off.

Go to http://help.ea.com/, I think. Or go to ea.com. You'll find your way to that, if you got Origin.

I hope you succeed.

you realise of course the entire problem is in fact origin being complete and utter ****e, its more buggy than any other connection manager software oh and EA being the bunch of incompetant tossers they are like to block ip adress ranges so certain countries are unable to connect to the update servers and players are forced into useing a proxy service in order to play.

if i was you guys before starting some pointless lawsuit i'd be makeing sure my WAN IP wasnt in the blocked range and maybe see about getting my ISP to change it

I just got off a chat with an EA help-type-person, and they suggested portforwarding these ports

UDP 5659 & UDP 6000

When I did this, still got the load failure, but I was able to get into multiplayer (and after logging into MP, the galaxy at war map showed up), and my DLC worked.

I would also suggest fowarding the following ports as well, as these are the ones that Origin uses (the ones I listed above are for ME3)

TCP & UDP
80 (I laughed at the EA-help-type person for this, apparently they didn't know Port 80 is where ALL normal internet traffic goes through)
443
1024-1124
9960-9969
18000
18120
18060
27900
28910
29900

odd they didnt suggest forwarding port udp 3659 since its what orign creates the vpn tunnel on and all the other ports are imaterial if the tunnel is working since it's all chucked through it its changed (yet again) since the patch last week, it would be nice if they stopped ****ing about with the port numbers, although i'm sure some idiot from EA will explain there changing them based on which ports isp's do/dont block, completly ignoring the fact 99% of isp's around the world utilize DPI to check data information and intentionally block P2P traffic based on the normality its "fileshareing" were blocking it during peek hours, and they will unblock games traffic if the games company sends them a request with a speciemen data packet (so they can add it to the "safe traffic list" for there DPI system) its ridiculous that an apparently global games company doesnt understand this is a basic requirement as specified in the DMCA (its been around for more than a decade for ****s sake) no they rather screw with things they clearly dont understand instead of doing something usefull in an attempt to circumvent DPI/traffic shapeing alogrithms to combat people in major territories being unable ot connect to there servers.

if bioware hadnt had there back against the wall a few years ago i wonder if they would of succumbed ot the incompetance of EA's wallet so easily when there were so many other far far better options around.......

stop useing origin its crap and get back on steam, valve at least understands how the internet works and how to get the best results and has a much better customer reach so you get even more money for every title produced, ea always was overpriced second rate badley coded rubbish, thats why they bought out every studio they could and there still trash.....

BW needs to improve its reputation and ditch the stupid EA system, or you'll end up the same way westwood did (bankrupt and disapeared) IGN/gamespyarcade/steam work and have worked for decades (yes ok steam isnt that old but the other two are) use something that actually works not something that pretends to be a viable solution but is infact just idiots wiht a good sales pitch (EA games) they might have a spiffy marketing machine and lots of shiney promo stuff but there crap where it counts

I'm getting this issue myself. I can get into Single Player by disconnecting my internet connection and running Origin in offline mode, but I guess that's because I've already authenticated all my DLC. Otherwise starting the game gives me the "server is unavailable" error.

Yay, getting professional help now. Turns out some ports were just suddenly, randomly disabled. Great. Hope I can still get my commendation pack...

No idea how ports suddenly just become disabled.... I also find it hard to believe the university's wireless AND the village wireless would suddenly disable the exact same ports, unless there was some uni-wide order. I must investigate this...

EA changed the ports used by origin and thus by ME3 in fact it seems there doing a lot of on the fly changes ot origin so dont be surprised if it happens again, there too stupid to leave the ports alone and just request isp's to allow there game traffic

I've been having this same problem since Sunday. Tried nearly everything that has been posted here, to no avail. My friend's having the same problem too. We're both in the Philippines so I think I can conclude that it's not my router or ISP causing the it. Anybody from SEA/AU/NZ experiencing the same thing?

*sigh* I just hope I can do this week's MP challenge. Seriously, this "server unavailable" BS is getting out of hand.

I'd have to contact the University's IT department and/or whoever in my village manages the internet connection. I might be SOL. *sigh* This really IS BS.

Having the same problem since installing the patch.

Been trying to connect for perhaps 2 hours and just can't at all. Haven't connected once.

Updating the game with the new patch seems to have fixed my connection problems; at least at the moment. I was able to play about 10 games today. Hope it stays that way...

There is a uni-wide order. It's the Reapers of the real world. The State-Corporate Empire. ;)

Had some on-and-off connection problems this week. Played until earlier today. Now I patched the game and again can't connect to the server. I tried reinstalling it, but that didn't work.

What an extremely bad performance. What completely lacked in that patch was a fix so we can play our DLC without connecting to the god damn shıt server.

Lol, I dunno if a State-Corporate empire can reach an Irish university. xD Trying the patch...If not, I might contact support again. This is kinda ridiculous. I almost want to try it on a friend's internet server to see if I can connect, and if I can't, I KNOW it's EA's fault.

Also, I can never connect to the router. It keeps sending me to bing search for the number, and if I try it on Chrome, it just says it can't find the address. *sigh*

Also, I dunno if this means anything, but I have no problems connecting to the ME2 server...
