I paid for it, you don't own this copy, and now you're saying I can't play at the time I want? Like this is something I RENTED??

What this guy said, pirates are the ones that are ment to be punished not the paying coustmers why don't the do something like what Batman Arkham Asylum did? the DRM was to remove the glideing from the game makeing it unplayable thats if you pirated it <_>

Same issue in Germany. No connection to ME3 server possible.
Wonder if it has something to do with the patch, which was AUTOMATICALLY downloaded and installed when i started the game this morning and left it unattended to get some coffee.
Tried portforwarding, tried "repairing" installation...nothing...
sigh*

I downloaded the patch manually yesterday (by letting origin check for update, it did not update automatically for me for some reason) and I was able to play for an hour or so yesterday. Today the server is not available. So I would guess it is not patch related, just a problem with the server.

Why can't they say that they have problems with the servers or the patch? Are they working on a solution? Galaxy at War is also offline, the problem is at Bioware.

Speaking of that patch. I had to stop the download because it said it was 30,051% complete. SOme 10,000Mb over the 33.9 that was needed. I cancelled and restarted and Bang. Broken. kaput. Munted. No COnnection. So I must lean towards your suggestion.

Yep, cant play game, single or multi. and there is the operation on at the moment. :-(

Ok, that seems to be some "good" news. 
But the problem in fact is, that one can never be sure, whether the problem is on our side or on theirs. 
Why isn't there a webpage for example, where the server statuses for each region are displayed?

Maybe they maintenance their servers, But I WANT TO play! If I hadn't downloaded the Extended Cut DLC, I could have played ME3. But now, I have to wait until they repair their servers. Oh man... Why we didn't at least get any information e-mail or some kind of announcement?!

EDIT: Servers work again! Hooray!

I still hope EA changes this for their next games and allows full offline singleplayer. I am not going to tolerate this further.

This is just incredible. No connection to the mass effect server. I dont care a **** about any online functions or multiplayer. I just want to play singleplayer mass effect whenever I like and not have to be dependent on some stupid server. I paid for it and there was no restrictions on when I can play it. I dont have a lot of time to play and I dont want to spend an hour searching the forums or contacting support to try to figure out whats wrong. I was just in the middle of leviathan and couldnt access my save files for that. And I really dont want to start over on something else.

Just started the game again and it seems to work now. So I am off to play now while I can.

Just letting oot some steam here. And let EA know that this is not acceptable. I like Bioware and Mass Effect a lot, but I don't tolerate this. Keep this up and I wont buy any more EA games.

I feel ya. This happens again, and the Reapers will be the least of EA/BioWare's problems. Angry, betrayed and scolding customers will.

I really wonder what's happened to EA Online in the last year....

First ME2's Cerberus Network auto-login started failing months before ME3 came out (at least you still could run DLC saves offline)

Then ME3 single player locks up for several seconds because "Lost Connection to the ME3 server" - during SINGLE PLAYER. Nothing like a completely immersion-breaking moment when this pop ups just before defeating the Reaper on Rannoch.

And then we have a complete single player DLC lockout...

This kind of online disruption to a single player experience is intolerable. Has nothing been learned from the DRM in ME1 and ME2? Fix this!

I'm experiencing the connection failure as well here in Belgium. This problem always pops up when I want to play online during a weekend. What's the point in having this weekend operations if you can't even participate in them?

Combined with the annoyingly long duration of being able to play (connecting to EA servers in the main menu, really?!) this has put me off from playing ME3 completely. Please, do something about this!

I find it quite surprising that this thread has been the top thread for a long time, yet there is still no Bioware response. Not even one telling us they're looking into it. This has been a problem for me since late August, then gave up on the game in September (still trying once in a while), now it still persists.

Tried reinstalling Origin, the game, all the solutions proposed and still nothing works.
