I'm pretty sure my issue is not my internet connnection and I don't think it was the servers. I had no problems playing about a month ago or so, then I started getting issues using the store. Then connecting alltogether went out the window. My sister using her computer and the same connection had no trouble connecting, though it seems to be somthing on my machine, because her account won't connect via my computer. My firewalls are fixed so ME3 should be allowed through but even when they are off it doesn't connect. I have no trouble connecting online via origin even in game I can use the chat, I just can't connect to the EA servers verify my DLC or use multiplayer. I've tried all the methods mentioned throughout the thread, I've reinstalled ME3 so far no luck. I've perused my computer for any malicious programs but honestly I don't know what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm not patient enough to try connecting 10 times but I shouldn't have to be. I've been experiencing this problem too long and there hasn't seemed to be much response via forums. I'll likely call ea soon when I get a chance but short of reformatting C: I'm currently stumped.

get a decent antivirus program and run it, put both your pc's next ot each other and open an eleveated comand prompt

type in;

netsh interface /show all

and comapair the settings make sure they match up, if anything is out then change it (if you dont know how ot use the comand line interface then i suggest googling in orderto find out the correct instructions to change the various perameters)

soemtimes just switching off your pc as part of an update cycle can mix up some of the settings especially if your area is prone to power surges.

another possible option would be to disconect everything but your pc (if the network interface settings are all the same) from your router and see if the problem is still there

sorry cant realy think straight atm so i hope that was understandable

RandomSyhn, I really feel the same, but with the crack could access the multiplayer game, and now I see that the 800 bioware points, are gone, hope is on the grounds of error can not be accessed, and for dessert I've reset the profile , so that all achievements are gone.

I have a good antivirus and firewall, and sque is not wonderful, but somewhat relieved, I have the KIS2013, and the reason for the error is that the original certificate contine no malware antivirus EA-Bioware recommend not accept and end the connection. From what I've seen happen with the latest versions of the suites is karspersky, Eset and other.

But as EA-Bioware, it goes so it goes, as sell as many games as this or more faults com fifa13 if they had people starting to program games, I doubt that people accept the Origin-EA-Bioware.

Sorry for the double post, but it is to say that in my case it did work properly access the EA-Bioware servers.

As I feared is that the latest versions of security suites do not have the security certificate Bioware, so while trying to connect does not let you access. Suffice to say copied only certificate in the firewall, it solves most and you need to reinstall the latest update of the game and the last dlc, I would work that way.

This is getting really weird. So far I can connect to the servers, but only in the morning. I have to keep the game running until the afternoon or evening if I want to play at those times.

I'm repeating myself, but it's absolutely pathetic that we have yet to be acknowledged. This is such a major error.

OK, this is getting really weird:
Last night it didn't work for hours, then I just randomly tried again and it did work. Now it doesn't work again. This only confirms my belief that there is something going on on the Server side.

In other news: Still no response from EA Support to my request.....

The only disconnects I have been getting after I fixed the UPnP thing is Origin going into Offline Mode for no damn reason whatsoever.

I've not had this problem before - maybe once or twice on a one off basis - but this evening I just can't seem to get in at all. It's not worked for hours and yet I am connected to Origin and I can see friends apparently in game. Grrrr...

Yeah - still not working for me either - I tried phoning the EA help centre - recorded message "All our lines are closes at the moment... Our lines are open 7 days a week 9am to 10pm" lol! Urm, 5pm on a Sunday ;-)

Sending them an email but I don't suppose it'll make much difference. Seriously annoyed at how sloppy this is now. I mean, it is something that we've paid for, so it seems a bit rubbish.

Yeah I bought some bioware points just after the DLC, its my way of showing some support. Get nothing back for it though.

Once we get it fixed we'll have to arrange to play a match vs collectors together, and pretend its EA we are killing

As for EA support: Three days and counting, no response yet

How many times did you try before it worked?

It worked pretty much right away. I started the game, got connected to the EA Servers (Galaxy Map appeared). Then while waiting for the DLC verification (for whatever reason they have to verify them every friggin time) I lost connection (Galaxy Map disappeared), and I got the message that I lost connection and must be connected to access online content blahblah. Then I clicked on multiplayer, it connected again and then loaded Multiplayer. Everything worked nice there, store didn't disconnect me either.

Ok, so, I sent an e-mail to EA support, and I got this back. It didn't actually solve the problem for me, but it might for some of you guys.

To get this sorted please try to manually disable UPnP/SSDP in Windows 7/Vista:

• Go to Start Menu-->Run...
• Type "services.msc" and click OK
• Find the service named "Universal Plug and Play Device Host" service
• Click the Stop button to stop the service
• Under Startup type, select Disabled from the pull-down menu and click OK
• Find the service named "SSDP Discovery Service" and double-click
• Click the Stop button to stop the service
• Under Startup type, select Disabled from the pull-down menu and click OK

That was the first e-mail, which I responded to and told them it didn't work. Here's the 2nd.

Please check for any Server outage in your locality. Please follow the below mentioned steps to resolve the connectivity issue.
Try disabling any firewalls you have running.
• Software firewalls can simply be turned off, usually by right clicking on the icons near your clock and selecting ‘Close’ or ‘Exit’.
• Hardware firewalls should be bypassed by going from the computer directly to your modem, skipping any router you may have.
• Try cycling the Power on your modem. For this, switch off your modem and leave it un-powered for about 5 minutes then re-start the modem, this should power cycle your modem.

If you have Windows XP, there is a built-in Firewall that we will want to disable. Please follow these steps to do so:
• Double click ‘My Network Places’ on your Desktop or in your Start Menu
• Click ‘View Network Connections’
• Right click on ‘Local Area Connection’ and Select ‘Properties’
• Click the ‘Advanced’ tab
• Make sure to uncheck the box under ‘Internet Connection Firewall’

If you are able to connect after disabling any firewalls you have running, then this is definitely the cause of your trouble. If you wish to play the game with your firewall running, please add the game to exception list of your firewall.

Connection issues can also be caused by one or more ports being blocked by a firewall, router, or even your Internet Service Provider to help maintain security. These ports are the doorways used to send and receive information between your computer and the server. You must configure your router/firewall to have the game's ports open in order to connect to the servers properly. You may also need to contact your Internet Service Provider to ensure that these ports are opened as well. TCP ports:

80
443
18120
18060

Cool I'll give those a go now - were they the only ports they mentioned, as I've seen different ones elsewhere - and indeed when I try to connect I can see in the router log that ME3 is using UDP 3659.

I'll give it a go, too. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the info!!!

EDIT: Ugh, no luck, so it must be the router. I doubt my university will unblock them for the purpose of gaming, though. Image IPB

Is there actually anyone out there NOT using Windows 7 64 bit and is having those connection issues? I know this is a long shot but I think in this situation everything could be worth investigating.

And is there anyone out there who works for Bioware who can comment on this issue... it seems very odd that a Technical Support Forum doesn't have some kind of official patrol - even on the weekends... I mean, this is a big title, and it'd be nice to have some kind of response :D

Yeah no, it didn't do it for me. It just seems completely random by now, sometimes it works just fine, and then I can't connect again at all. Using Win7 Home Premium 64bit.
I tried it with my firewall turned off completely and the Windows Security Essentials realtime protection turned off, but didn't make a difference. I am convinced that the problem is not on my side, since, as I said; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And it worked for months before last week.
No response from EA support so far

I've also used ping and tracert to confirm that I can get through to the ea servers... having monitored network activity to find the IP addresses that ME3 was using to try connecting:

92.52.77.245
159.153.235.32

No issues getting through to either of them - which backs up your suspicion UpirNoir that it's not on the client side.
