A partly-positive take on the endings

Now, I'll be the first to say I think the endings could have used some serious work, but I think people might be overreacting just a tad. Bioware gave us a wonderful, amazing, fun, and heart-warming/heart renching at times universe to insert ourselves in. To say our experiences over the past 5 years were completely devastated with an ending that didn't quite live up to our expectations may be selling ourselves and our gaming experiences a little short.
So, instead of complaining, I thought to myself about how I would've improved the ending choices if I had been in a position to do so, and have listed my alterations to the big three choices at the close of one of the best games and franchises I have ever had the pleasure of taking part in. Critique them, share ideas, call me an **** fanboy who enjoys fornicating my mother/father as you will.
Choice 1: Control(Paragon):
You sacrifice your life to take control over the Reapers. However, the Citadel and Mass Relays are NOT destroyed, galactic civilization is allowed to rebuild and clips are shown of the Reapers helping to rebuild cities and planets. The game ends with the Normandy crew holding your funeral, honoring you as the ultimate hero for sacrificing yourself. However, the Catalyst's warning about the inevitability of organic vs. synthetic conflict remains.
Choice 2: Destruction(Renegade):
You take your revenge on the Reapers and destroy not only them but also the Mass Relays and the Citadel. The trade off here is that the Normandy/Aliiance fleet arrives just in time to rescue you from the destruction. The organic vs. synthetic conflict is solved for the moment, being that you killed them all. You sacrifice galactic civilization as we know it so that Shepard can live and grow old with his/her love interest (if you had one).
Choice 3: Synthesis(Neutral):
Shepard joines his/her DNA with the Catalyst to create the "final evolution of life". Synthetics and organics are now one and the same (leaves with circuits!!!) thus solving their inherrent conflict. Again, the mass relays and the citadel are not destroyed and Shepard dies. However, you perform this action knowing full well that you have altered organic and synthetic life to become something that it was not, compromising both forms of life's identities (the ethics of this line of thought are constantly brought up in the game, especially by organics).
Bonus to Synthetic ending:
If you collect enough war assets (to get the option of taking the synthesis route you need quite a bit anyway) a shuttle is able to leave the battle to get you out of the citadel before you completely die during the synthesis process. Nothing changes here except you get to survive, recuperate, and wake up to the Normandy's crew all gathered around you (glowing green eyes with circuits under their skin and all), welcoming you back.
Anyway, thanks for indulging my need to write about this. Have fun and be well, Mass Effect fans. Don't let your expectations get you down, in gaming or in life. Keelah Se'lai

Choice 1: I agree the Relays should not have been destroyed, and that the reapers should have helped rebuild civilization. After that though, the reapers (Under my control *cough*) should overlook everything as a benevolent God would, insuring peace is maintained.
Choice 2: I don't really even want to think about this choice. If I had to change anything, it would be simply to destroy the reapers, and leave everything else intact. Shepard should still die though, since he/she did just commit genocide.
Choice 3: I kinda like this ending the way it is, but would have liked it if the Relay's didn't pointlessly explode again.
If I could only change one thing, it would be that after the Normandy lands on that random planet, you get more than just a few seconds too see your crew for the last time. (& that if you chose Choice 1, EDI is standing next to Joker, like she is in Choice 3)

Its all a lie anyhow. You died when the reaper shot you as you where running towards the teleporter. In truth though, I like some of your ideas, few things I would do differently though if I was to change the endings.

In choice 3, the relays dont explode in my interpretation. I might not have made that clear enough, and if that's the case I apoligize.
Also the "random planet" thing kind of rubbed me the wrong way, which is why i left it out. I understand it might be Bioware giving us a metaphor for something like the unlimited possibilites of a new future without the cycle of the Reapers, but all in all, I thought it raised more question than it answered. If it were up to me, I would have left it out entirely.
Thanks for the input!

I would have honestly felt very happy with the Synthesis ending that you painted.

So what is the lifespan of these new life forms? For all we know, they may live thousands and thousands of years.
More then enough time to repopulate, rebuild civilization and recreate the mass relays.
In fact, they might not even need mass relays, a hundred year trip may to be to them, what a week is to us. They might even be able to "upload" and "download" themselves into new bodies as a means of crossing space.
Looking forward to any future stories.

I chose synthesis because I thought TIM tried control, and we saw how that turned out, even though the catalyst says I could have done it, I had the sense he was b**lsh*****g me. Destruction, I thought, I didn't want to die, but that's not important, I didn't want the Geth to die, they could have helped with a lot, and the Relays and Citadel being destroyed was a HUGE downside. So, I chose synthesis, thinking that this was the option that the Relays and Citadel are not destroyed. My mistake, because I see the Realys and Citadel get blown up, and I'm sitting there going "Oh c**p. " lol
