Since I believe synthesis is the only true option, i will expand on this.

After Anderson passes away, Liara(My LI) came just as Shepard is about to black out ,she too is injured but she helped shepard stand up. At this time, Catalyst arrives giving Shepard 3 choices...

Shepard knows what he has to do, but Liara interrupts explaining she wants to be with Shepard forever, they share 1 last kiss in front of crucible beam(delete the London kiss scene and add it to the end basically), and some touching dialogue about love. They hold each other's hands as they both leap towards the beam, thus completing the synthesis...

Then you can show joker and EDI getting out, maybe also Tali and Garrus since I romanced Liara...

Although this is not a fairytale ending, I believe many will be happy if it actually went like this

...to be honest, I literally felt sick and depressed after the ending. Many have already expressed this...hope Bioware sees this.

I understand why they did the ending. From ME1, they expressed how drastic and deadly the Reapers were.
The endings make sense.

To a degree.

Honestly, I would've at least gave an increment as to what happens to the squad. I'm okay with Shepard dying, but I wouldn't have put it so vaguely. It's like they want the fans to run with it. Or they just didn't know how to end the franchise and slapped something together.
I don't know -- I wasn't there to be able to say.

But it feels largely unfinished. I don't need a fairytale ending. I just need an ending that expands and doesn't leave me feeling like I wasted money on an adventure that ends with me staring at my screen, wondering why I played through the other games.

I enjoyed them, but it feels like nothing mattered in the end. Maybe that's what they want, but still...

I feel like I rambled. I like your version. It would've been nice to have been in the Citadel with the LI. :)

Wow, i never thought of an ending like this, but this would be acceptable...fantastic even... all i wanted for my shepard through all 3 games was to know she would be with Liara in the end...and they took that from me...

I feel so empty...
