If it weren't for the ending. The last 10 minutes, my mind was asking out of all the 3 which one was the best? I deliberated with myself, and honestly I thought ME3 was.
Why you may ask?
-The combat is just awesome, and so enjoyable. The melee is great as well
-Some of the deaths are very emotional and really pulled my heart strings. I seriously was on the verge of crying for one of the deaths, which I rarely do for a game.
-The music is really good in this one. Probaly my favorite out of the 3.
-The levels have more life to them, and are a bit more than just dull linear space dungeons.
-Most of the plot arches are tied very nicely (except the ending of course)
-The Citadel is so much better than the one in ME2, and honestly is about on par with the 1st one in ME1
-There's some legit funny dialogue. Funniest out of the 3 imo
-You actually feel the war. You feel the struggle. Bioware really managed to create the "This is really it, fight or die" scenario. Really awesome stuff
Don't get me wrong ME3 isn't perfect. Lack of dialogue options, and some other niggling issues, including the ending hold it back. But I feel, in my mind, if I just ignore the ending, and simply create my version of my perfect ending then everything does indeed seem perfect.
Honestly, if Bioware fixed the endings, and managed to add more dialogue options, and fix a few other niggling isseus then (to me at least) this becomes the best Bioware game I've played yet.
Regardless...I'd say this is my GOTY for 2012 for now at least.
Who would agree that ME3 is the best in the series...
