Basically you need to have 100% each system
Resolve the issue between the Geth and Quarians peacefully so they are both with you
Possibly might need to resolve the Krogan and Salarian situation out
Have done Arrival (not doing it causes one of the Alliance Fleets to have a lesser score as some of its marines went in Shepard's place)
Do all the side stuff that helps maintain or boost war assets.
People don't believe it is possible in the Singleplayer without any Multiplayer modifier, but I believe that it is and people have reported having done it.
I'm trying to look through my playthroughs now to find out which would stand most chance of it and soon as I find it I'll go through and see if I can get it and respond to this topic again once finished

It is actually impossible in SP. Not enough war assets exist in game.

It is impossible to get over 4000 EMS in SP only currently. There is no way you could have achieved 6000 EMS without MP or the infiltrator App. There are a bunch of threads about this. If you still think your statement is correct, post a screenshot of your War Asset list so others can learn where they were wrong.

I'm not sure about this. There are many resources hidden in decisions where you don't expect them, and odd bonuses come from perfectly complete ME1/ME2 playthroughs. I've been told by several people that it's possible.
We really need the wiki page to list all possible war assets...

Let balak go (you get the batarian fleet)
DO NOT save the council in me1 (it really hurts the alliance fleets and the DA is not that great...)
Answer all the support quests "correctly"
DO NOT Cure the genophage, the salarians out weight wrex
Keep Maleons data for a bigger krogan boost from eve
Save all teammates from me2
Biotic artillery instead of support
Give david to grissom acad
These are just to name a few, but my war assets were quite high compared to his, he only beat me in the end because he imported multiple MP teams and got the bonuses there.

Wrong and wrong. War assets from saving the council (including saving the Salarian councilor in ME3) outweigh the losses in the Alliance fleet. And curing the genophage while having Wrex outweighs the salarians BY FAR, because they throw most of their support in anyway after the Citadel, while losing Wrex nets you a big loss.

Well, yes. You lose more initially by saving the council...but you get more for saving the Salarian council person twice... It ends up being a +20 shift in your favour.
Same with curing the Genophage. Any initial losses get made up for later when you have the support of the clans, plus Eve, plus Wrex.
