Ok I think I messed up my romance option somehow with Ashley. I romanced her in ME and didn't romance anyone in ME2 (got the final scene starring all dreamy eyed at her picture right before we went through the Omega 4 relay and all). And I was really looking forward to seeing it carry over into ME3. 
So here's why I think something's wrong and I can't figure out what happened. Everything started off great. Had a little moment on Mars together. Then she got smashed in the face of course. I went and saw her in the hospital twice and brought her the book she liked and told her I want to be with her while she was in the hospital and all. Now she's out and a Spectre and on the Normandy again but she hasnt had any kind of romantic interaction with me since the hospital. I saw on ign that after you brought her the book in the hospital the second time you see her, she is supposed to ask to meet you in the Presidium Commons and ask for a relationship or you can. But for some reason that never happened. Next message I got from her to meet was at the memorial wall where she's meeting her sister. The news reporter on the ship and Liara are opening romantic options now so I really think something went wrong with my Ashley romance. Anyone have any ideas or know what happened, or am I just missing something

You didn't do enything wrong, I guess. The memorial scene happens long before the cafe scene, where you can continue the relationship... atleast it was like that for me.

Wait the memorial scene happens first? So she's just distant all this time since the hospital?

Did u finish the game without romancing her, or are u still playing? I ask because someone above said it happens later after the memorial scene so I'm wondering if ur not far enough, like maybe I am, or if it really is a bug

I'm to the point where me and Garrus just shot bottle off the top of the presidium. And vega got tatted for declaring N7 status. So is it after this trip to the Citadel that we come back and have the cafe scene, or am I screwed?

See, the issue is that you're thinking in terms of ME and ME2. There aren't nearly as many conversation options with most of your squadmates in ME3.

You're doing things fine. Just wait til you get emails from her and complete them. Eventually - near the very end of the game - she'll ask to meet you at the Presidium and then ask you if your relationship is going anywhere.

Nope, you aren't. The cafe scene comes later still. Ash will write you an e-mail about "meeting on the citadel for some quiet time together", so check mails after each mission.

Thanks for the info, been worrying about the subject myself, but after reading this it looks like am on the right track, and just have to wait and do more missions =)

She's still feeling guilty about the whole "almost shot the guy I'm in love with because I thought he was a Cerberus Assassin" incident. And her brother-in-law's death isn't helping things. Just be supportive of her and she'll come back around.

Also, for what it's worth, I don't know if gifts are required or not. I bought flowers the first time I visited the hospital, but never saw anything pertaining to them. So for all I know, my Shep still has them. And the gifts had disappeared from the kiosk on my second visit, so I never purchased anything else.

yes ive had the exact same thing i thought i blew it because i cant talk to her on my ship either and she wasnt verry responsive to my paragon options at the memorial i guees ill just wait for another email
