So if your in the spoiler sections you already know the ending were pretty bad, if not down right horrendous. But let us just think back to what one of our dear forum admins said awhile back.

Something along the lines of not importing your shepard the first playthrough so you would have a bigger impact on your main playthrough.

Now what if bioware purposely gave the current 3 choices ending to us upon release so we would have a greater impact later on, say in about two weeks? When bioware releases a patch to unlock the 'dealer's content for the REALmass effect 3 game.

...of course I could be completely wrong, but i think holding on to this idea might make the idea of the end of mass effect 3 suck that much less.

After Bioware ruined Dragon Age and kept quiet about the ending issue till now, do you still have faith in them? I played ME series all through and I just don't have enough heart to take on another disillusion like this one.

Part of me wants to believe that... like it's just some clever trick they're trying to play. One week later, new patch, new endings... we find out it was all just a dream or some crap, or Shepard's fears of what could happen. Buttttt..... that's a far cry. (But how I wish!)

Part of me wants to believe that the theme of hope that was seeded throughout the series is being played on, with BioWare doing what you suggested, and is gonna hit us with something major. The other part of me just wants to see Tali and Shepard living on Rannoch :/ I am prepared to be disappointed

Very unlikely, little more then wishful thinking brought about by desperation.

I'm just trying to be optimistic, I mean there is ALOT of content that was not in me3 that they stated would, and some that was implyed to be resolved since they said it was the final game. Such as, enemies dropping weapons shepard can use, multiple endings(obviously more then 3 similar were implyed), no reaper banter besides random reaper on rannoch, no reference to dark matter, keepers unresolved, elcor homeworld not featured only scanable, same as volus homeworld, and omega wasn't featured in me3 only mentioned by aria.

TL;DR. A lot of content seemed cut away last second and replaced by placeholders.

Most of the "they're tricking us!" is just wishful thinking. Sometimes, though, it's hard not to hope.

God that would be awesome that a patch introduces new endings with a opening cut scene of shep waking up in bed with a cold sweat... his fear made manifest in his dream. then we actually get the endings based on our choices for the most part.. not this forced spoon fed attempt at making a grim dark drama, curtain call.

Hope is the rod they use to beat us with when they let us down.

Maybe the sex scenes caused the FCC to rewrite the ending to fit among Christian values lol

Exactly, the kid even says at the end:

"You don't need hope"

A very nice thought, by difficult to imagine. What's with all the offline console players? No, I think Mac Walters and his team really believe this horrible ending is great one. Sad. Very sad.

We have spent 5 years making decisions, leveling up, and investing time and money, we deserve to be emotionally attached

I refused to believe the endings were this bad, but they are. I hoped there would be a day one patch to unlock an actual good ending, but there wasn't. I'm done hoping for something good. I cared way too much about this game and I shouldn't have used it as an escape.

I liked the feeling of fighting against an unstoppable force in this game, but I am the last person who likes to look at sad things for the sake of sad things. I see and hear the saddest things you will ever know every day, I played mass effect to feel like I had some control over how much sadness i woulk see.

I saved almost everyone in this stupid game and in the end it doesn't even matter. Without the relays Wrex cannot get back to his people, who knows how the krogan will react to this? The krogan are stuck on their own broken and dead homeworld. Wrex said he wanted better for his children. All the quarians who were fighting in the fleet (a HUGE part of the quarian population) are now STRANDED near earth. Once again they are stuck in their suits and ships forever.

Not only does tali starve on that random planet, the quarians just stay forever in the sol system. UHG THE MORE I THINK ABOUT THIS THE MORE ****ED IT ALL IS!
