I have the Carnifex and Arc Pistol and I much prefer the Carnifex. The charge doesn't do enough damage to warrant the weight and the single shots are far weaker than the Carnifex.

Arc Pistol is more or less unacceptable in Gold games.  It can't deliver large packets of damage as fast as a Carnifex, and it can't deliver small packets as fast as a Phalanx.  The result is that it's trash.

Oh, well excuse the hell out of me. So anything I say about Mass Effect multiplayer is irrelevant unless I'm talking about gold?  So I guess that means anybody on this site talking about bronze or silver is irrelevant & should just STFU right?

I guess I won't bother posting anything anymore, I'll just go play the game & be irrelevant.

You hear that everybody? If you're not discussing gold your opinions are irrelevant & you should just STFU & stop posting. Bronze & Silver don't count for anything. If you enjoy bronze or silver youre just wasting your time. Gold is all that matters!

I got no Carnifex or Paladin, so I'm stuck with the Arc Pistol for my adept. So far so good. In bronze I can pretty much snipe everything with it. Not so much in silver+ I rather use Phalanx on silver+

Way to blow things out of proportion.

Yes, bronze means your opinion matters less. Because bronze is the lowest tier, the easiest tier. If you objectively look at it.

There's no shame in enjoying bronze. But any tactic will work there, so thats why there is no point in discussing it.

It's like the packs intentionally screw you with the weapons you don't want.

His point was that ANY weapon works well on Bronze, so there's no real value in discussing weapon effectiveness in an objective way in relation to that mode. It only really becomes apparent which weapons are better than others in latter Silver rounds and Gold.

He wasn't having a go at you.

Yeah, I was surprised that the Phalanx worked so well on Silver. I had it as a back up on my Sentinel over the Carnifex due to forgeting to swap it out for the Carnifex, but it did some decent damage.

On my paladin 3 shots is also a whole clip, as I recall ;-)

Well, I don't know about ditching... but my Arc is X and my Carni only IV, so the Arc does more damage. And is more fun, I haven't used Carni in a long time. I do have the Paladin, but haven't used it that much, I always seem to run out of ammo too fast with it (Arc X with charged shots does more damage per ammo load than Paladin I and obviously weighs a lot less).
