I'm not sure if it's hardcore fans of the series (like myself) or just internet trolls, but I'm looking at some of the tweets that people have been posting to the staff of Bioware, and is any of that really needed?

Yes, most of us are angry over the ending, and many other things, myself included, but I don't think insulting the people who make the game is going to help make things better. Be aggressive with your opinions, but don't be a d*ck.

If we can appeal to their better judgement (by, you know, acting as mature adults), then maybe they would think about putting future DLC on hold to help fix the ending. Or just think about fixing the ending in general.

Or, if you really wanna take it as far as spamming the devs, why not make a petition? At least then, they don't have to sit there and sift through countless hate comments.

Either way, hatin' ain't the way to go, broskies.

I love the game, personally. It needs some fixing up to do, but aside from that, I've enjoyed myself with this series.

I agree, if you want to vent thats fine but do it in a mature manner. After all Bioware has a history of listening to its fan base.

I liked the game till the very end... kinda. There are Lot of ways it could have been better, but I feel empty waiting in anticipation these past, what?, two years for a game that seemingly didn't compare to its hype.... but I'm beinh a little optimistic and hoping bioware is just playing a prank or something and will release a patch to unlock additional content to the me3 so it will seem complete

A mature, civilized discussion is something I'm hoping for.

There is a lot of vitriol. Some people need to calm down and understand that at the end of the day, it's still just a game. Yes the journey is personal and people have invested a lot into these characters, but overreaction is not the correct way to handle this. Like you said, a petition is a good idea (if one isn't already started) and is a way where the people angry/upset/disappointed can still show their dislike for the ending.

Yeah, hassling the develpers with aggressive insults is really childish. More than that, it's pointless. The people who made this game aren't sadists who are messing with us for the hell of it. ME3 is clearly an example of Executive Meddling, and most of the game's problems - including the crappy, tacked-on ending - are obviously the result of corporate suits rushing the product out the door.

Could Bioware have done more to protect their product? Probably. But I fail to see how annoying some random software programmer is going to change that.

I completely agree. There's too much BioWare hate going on. Take a look at what George Lucas has said recently: "Why would I make any more (Star Wars films), when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?" Negative emotions will not win the day here. I love this game. I may not be able to recapture the magic of not knowing how it would end in subsequent playthroughs, but play through it again I shall. Aside from the ending, I honestly feel like this is the strongest game that BioWare has ever released. I loved the gameplay, I loved the characters, I loved how your choices seemed to make a difference. Reuniting the Quarians and the Geth was something I had been anticipating since ME1. Finally seeing it happen was incredible. BioWare, please capture that same intensity and emotion in something new. These characters are our friends. We don't want to see them just disappear.

And despite what some are saying I really do want a happy ending where Shepard and the LI get to live happily ever after. This is Science Fiction-FANTASY dammit :P

The moments with the Krogan and Mordin, Thane, Liara staring at me with her EYES, and the whole Citadel chase sequence will keep me playing the game, wart-infested ending and all.

That being said, I wonder how long people are willing to wait until the devs decide to fix the ending (if they do).

By and large, most of the posts here aren't insulting. They're frustrated, often hurt, but usually not full of seething hatred. Or maybe I'm too used to spending time on the World of Warcraft boards, and this place is genuinely peaceful in comparison.

Regardless, a lot of us have said "this is absolutely amazing, except for the end" - and that part of why it hurts so much is because it WAS so good.

Cussing out Bioware doesn't do any good. Most of us are writing well-thought out complaints. We want an ending to the series we've invested so much in, and we feel cheated by what Bioware gave us.

More importantly, it's supposed to be a more escapist, happier game. Yeah, you can play it miserable, short, and ugly... but the idea that through your work shall you earn the golden ending is pretty pervasive in the ME universe.

Missing out on that for the grand finale hurts, a lot.

I agree with the OP, i read some of the tweets at mike gamble and felt really bad for what he must be feeling right now. If you want a better ending petition it. it worked with neon genesis evangelion (original ending has everyone die), it can work here too. i personally was okay with the ending. i was just upset that the series is over forever and that there might not be any more mass effect. that's my only beef.

This is the way to go. As much as the endings suck, we need to elaborate on this without spewing angry words and insults. There are many things wrong with the endings, and the best way to tell them is through polite and informed discourse.

heh, look at me using the word 'discourse'

Exactly. I won't even bother commenting on the ending of a game if it's a silly one through and through. The problem is that I LOVE Mass Effect series, I LOVE it too much to see it ends like this. I feel so sad for a game THAT CLOSE to be absolutely epic and wonderful.

I don't really know the inside-info (EA money grabbing,  deadline push and writing team.....) so I won't blame Bioware as a whole. I just wish they see how hurted they have made their fans, and how many good and simple ideas the fans have come up with.

This is also an excellent chance for Bioware to show how much they care about their fans. Because think about it: if a game designing group actually rewrited its game ending upon fans' commission, I'd be much much more confident in buying games designed by it from now on.

The reason I came here to voice my opinion was because of all the rage and just plain irrational lashing out elsewhere. That's not the way to get through to them how we feel. At least here people are being civilized and rational about the whole situation. The game was so amazing, and then the end left a lot of us completely devastated or numb--or both. I don't want to remember such a wonderful, engaging series that way. I sincerely hope they don't leave it like this. Our Shepards deserved so much better.

I don't agree with attacking a specific developer personally, but you have to admit the team left the door wide open for this sort of response from the playerbase.

In one thing op is right: no hate for persons, no insults against persons, but all "hate" for this miserable ending. If I could, I would send a huge army of care bears to Edmonton.

I don't have Twitter so I wasn't aware of what was going on there, but yes, please, be polite. There's no excuse for a lack of manners and acting uncivilized. You will get more attention by telling them why you don't like the ending (not that you just don't like it) and speaking to them with some common courtesy.

A very polite and unagitated answer. There should be more such replies from BioWare.

See that guy's comment stream. He honestly seems like he's trying to help out the fans (and the overwhelmed devs =P)
