Okay, everyone calm down for a minute

Yes, most of us are angry over the ending, and many other things, myself included, but I don't think insulting the people who make the game is going to help make things better. Be aggressive with your opinions, but don't be a d*ck.
If we can appeal to their better judgement (by, you know, acting as mature adults), then maybe they would think about putting future DLC on hold to help fix the ending. Or just think about fixing the ending in general.
Or, if you really wanna take it as far as spamming the devs, why not make a petition? At least then, they don't have to sit there and sift through countless hate comments.
Either way, hatin' ain't the way to go, broskies.
I love the game, personally. It needs some fixing up to do, but aside from that, I've enjoyed myself with this series.

Could Bioware have done more to protect their product? Probably. But I fail to see how annoying some random software programmer is going to change that.

And despite what some are saying I really do want a happy ending where Shepard and the LI get to live happily ever after. This is Science Fiction-FANTASY dammit

That being said, I wonder how long people are willing to wait until the devs decide to fix the ending (if they do).

Regardless, a lot of us have said "this is absolutely amazing, except for the end" - and that part of why it hurts so much is because it WAS so good.

I completely agree. There's too much BioWare hate going on. Take a look at what George Lucas has said recently: "Why would I make any more (Star Wars films), when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?" Negative emotions will not win the day here. I love this game. I may not be able to recapture the magic of not knowing how it would end in subsequent playthroughs, but play through it again I shall. Aside from the ending, I honestly feel like this is the strongest game that BioWare has ever released. I loved the gameplay, I loved the characters, I loved how your choices seemed to make a difference. Reuniting the Quarians and the Geth was something I had been anticipating since ME1. Finally seeing it happen was incredible. BioWare, please capture that same intensity and emotion in something new. These characters are our friends. We don't want to see them just disappear.

Strongly agree.

Missing out on that for the grand finale hurts, a lot.

By and large, most of the posts here aren't insulting. They're frustrated, often hurt, but usually not full of seething hatred. Or maybe I'm too used to spending time on the World of Warcraft boards, and this place is genuinely peaceful in comparison.

Exactly. I won't even bother commenting on the ending of a game if it's a silly one through and through. The problem is that I LOVE Mass Effect series, I LOVE it too much to see it ends like this. I feel so sad for a game THAT CLOSE to be absolutely epic and wonderful.
I don't really know the inside-info (EA money grabbing, deadline push and writing team.....) so I won't blame Bioware as a whole. I just wish they see how hurted they have made their fans, and how many good and simple ideas the fans have come up with.
This is also an excellent chance for Bioware to show how much they care about their fans. Because think about it: if a game designing group actually rewrited its game ending upon fans' commission, I'd be much much more confident in buying games designed by it from now on.

A very polite and unagitated answer. There should be more such replies from BioWare.Lyriq wrote...

See that guy's comment stream. He honestly seems like he's trying to help out the fans (and the overwhelmed devs =P)
