Hugs for everyone...
Took a week of holidays for this game because I wanted to play through at least twice. Now I'm not sure I can do it again.
On the bright side, BioWare has delivered a masterpiece in evoking emotions in players with those endings and seeing this thread really shows that good things may come from it. Thanks OP!

See that's the right kind of emotional impact. I sincerely hope nobody at Bioware thinks the outrage over the ending is the same as that.

It's weird, an ending in any media never felt like a breakup before ME3. Ugh. It made me feel worse than a video game should be able to.

It makes me happy that the fans of this series are extremely creative and have come up with better endings then the so called professionals.
It also seems most of us are united by betrayal and we are in the same boat.
I am working on a fantasy novel and I thought Mass Effect 3, would inspire my story to a degree.
It did.
Just not in the way I expected.
I would never screw over a fan, but this made me want to craft every single word and idea with extreme focus and proofread at least 3 to 4 times.
It also helps me because if my confidence ever gets down I can watch the endings of mass effect 3 and bask in the horrible plot.
Then all I have to tell myself is this horrible writers get paid for this and with a well crafted story anything is possible.
It also made me say to hell with their world, I can craft a better series, without a troll ending that lets future fans down.
Mass Effect fans have shown me if you craft a great story those who love it and have reflections in it will follow you to the ends of the earth.
All you have to do is treat them and the writing with respect.
Bioware failed there, big time.
I may not play Mass Effect 3 again but I still want to see how or if they respond to the fans.
