I don't understand I picked the middle shaft where supposedly all organic and synthetic life was merged but and I had a high enough EMS also I was full paragon and Liara was my LI in every game, so then at the end you see joker and EDI together and it's like awwww but then Liara is there and my Shep is dead??? Then after the credits is that the same no matter which ending you choose? also is there a way to survive?

right click the image on someone's sig, do "copy image location" then go to Profile: Forum Settings
and paste [img]<image location>[/*img] (without the *) into your sig box.

Oh and to answer this: if you're confused, that just means you were paying attention. The ending doesn't make a lick of sense to anyone.

You can... technically survive, but it's only like a 10 second scene where you see Shep in a pile of rubble take half a breath, and then it cuts to credits. The only way to get this is to have over 4000 ems and choose the destruction ending. Other than that, everything else is the same still.

I'm sorry I feel like every third game that comes out is rushed and never feels as good as the last. For instance I'm just sayin don't fix things that aren't broken! ME3 felt very impersonal because they turned it into another shooter that lost touch with what it was! This is supposed to be an RPGs based mostly around story! We lost almost every squadmate which in 2 I loved the variety of taking different people out based on the mission. And they said they put less squadmates to make it mor personal but nothing in three was remotely as personal as getting jack and Miranda to be friends or to get Mordin to admit what he did with the genophage was wrong! It makes me sad to see a beautiful franchise to go up in flames like this I think what they did with the combat was amazing but it was not worth the trade of the choice affecting the game or the intricate story. I'm not blaming bioware but whoever called the shots for these changes and the money hungry people who are infact making incomplete games and selling dlc afterwards just to make more cash but ultimately disappoint their core fan base! This is the second time this year this has happened to me! First with saints row the third and now with Mass Effect 3! I hope that game companies realize they are gonna lose their biggest spenders because the fans are what hype up these games and get everyone to buy it not fancy commercials! I also need a hug!

Thanks for answering some questions, I have now seen the "survive" ending and agree that not exactly surviving. Also I love your sig I'm using it now:)

Take out the '<' and '>' from the image location, just need to have the URL between the two img tags.

Even after days stretched, I still can't get over the ending.. I tried to fight the disapointment on my own and just bottled it up. But I guess I failed because here I am on the internet looking for hugs to eas up the pain (and to know that I'm not the only one being let down)

The end to Mass Effect 3 has greatly disturbed me and changed something psychologically. Games That I previously disliked I now find very enjoyable Deus Ex : Human Revolution for example. Also Games I love I no longer want to play, Mass Effect naturally, and StarCraft II. What the hell has happened to me!

Hugs to linsanity, d1ta, xHezz90 and Cgrissom. It makes me feel a bit better to know that I'm not alone in this, that we're all here together fighting for what we love, just as Shepard would do. Our Shepard is not one who would accept the Catalyst's set of solutions. Always questioning, always doing the impossible, Shepard would have found a better way.

Btw can any of you recommend me on how to get over with this sadness and stuff? What I feel right now is somewhat akin to (a very bad) heartbreak. Since no one I know in real life seemed to understand why a video game could give such a negative impact on me x_x

Suggestions?
