Just read the codex entry for the "Miracle at Palaven."
I just have to say, no matter what future the galaxy has after this... everyone should be afraid of what would happen if the Krogan and the Turian join forces. They work perfectly together: as if they evolved to do it.

They work well together when fighting the Goddam Reapers, Because 1 is a giant 600 pound race of ravaging skin so hard it's like armor warriors who breed insanely fast and can take more punishment that a BDSM slave at Christmas and the others are a military first, disciplined, intelligent ruthless, objective race of hard-nosed stoic soldiers.
When facing a HUGE threat, they work well together because they have to. Like the Reapers and Rachni. Take away the Reapers and Rachni and they hate each other.
The Turians will hate the Krogan's rampaging nature, desire to fight each other, lack of tactics. And use them for little more than shock troops at best.
And the Krogans will hate the Turians for not having the quads to fight with them during peace-time.
Hell there's a damn good reason in the lore that it was the Turians who gleefully neutered the Krogans AND left a giant bomb on their planet to finish them off if need be.
Honestly the only species I can see the Krogans getting on with without the Reapers around are the Vorcha, and maybe some of the lower-level Batarians.

They work well together when the krogans aren't bombing turian colonies out of existance, and the turians aren't deploying the genophage. Yes.
In my own canon, the genophage has been cured. It's now up to the krogans to show they deserve it. Specifically, it would help if they show willingness to control their population and don't start to demand colonies that aren't theirs.
If they can't do that, the STG still exists, and this time around what they whip up for the krogan might not be nearly as forgiving.
