Maybe we can talk the Catalyst into destroying the Reapers, or deactiviting them, and maybe we can't.  Maybe we have to order the Normandy to destroy the Catalyst by doing a suicide run on the Crucible.

If you wanted your players to be satisfied with your endings, you should have given them the option to find their own path, rather than simply submit to the paths offered.  That's where the endings go wrong.

Though I will admit, I really did want the "Little blue babies" ending.

THIS.  If there's one comment about this whole ending debacle that I could have Bioware read and take inspiration from, it would be this.

Did you message anyone from Bioware, personally about this, OP?

I agree completely with the OP (little blue children and all).

I understand they wanted to end Shepard's story here but come on. Was that the best endings the writers could come up with? And don't get me started with Catalyst-brat.

OPERATION BROKEN TRUST WILL CONTINUE! (Get it? Operation Broken steel was when they hanged Fallouts endings, and since Bioware effed us in the bum with these endings we are fighting back)

I have been a huge fan from the beginning. I have every collectors edition, two models of the Normandy, and even bought the hat. I loves the entire game up until the AI Child. After that I felt betrayed. I worked HARD to give EDI An the GETH a chance. I wouldn't kill them just so I can survive ("best ending"). I went Senthisis and I feel that is the best given the options... But I feel like I want to just trash all my ME stuff. I feel silly for praising the game. Where is my personal vendetta with Harbinger? No boss fight? I want to wring that little kids AI neck! No way can I suggest this series to my friends, and I would have even bought copies for them up until those last moments. You let me down EA/Bioware.

The ending is unsatisfying because it was thrown together. In my game, shep was with liara, and James and ashley were on earth at the final battle(as well as everyone else). Now, I understand liara could be on the Normandy, but if she loved shep so much, why did she leave him? Why did Joker fly the Normandy out of there, when everyone planned on making their stand on or above earth? HOW DID JAMES GET ON THE DAMN NORMANDY WHEN HARBRINGER FRIED HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE NEAR THE PORTAL????

Because the writers got lazy and had to do something.

Wait. You got the Geth and Quarian to fight together?

Edit: Wait.  Shepard lives in the Destroy ending?  It looked like he went down with the Citadel.

If your EMF is 4k+ and you save Anderson or just 5k+ you get this:

And yes if you let Legion upload the code and then Charm/Intimidate the admirals, you will get the Quarians and Geth to make nice.

boggles the mind, doesn't it? that gigantic chasm between the quality of the game and the quality of the ending.

I loved the ending. It's was not sugar coated with rainbow but great enough to be realistic. If the ending was too perfect. The other half of the people who enjoyed the ending would yell DEM.

They avoided it and put everything together nicely.

Although I was in complete disagreement with the catalyst. I destroyed the Reaper because even if the cycle repeat itself with more reaper .. It's not at the machine to decide the fate of everyone or find a solution for every 'species'..

But everyone used the tech of the Reaper. I think it's all make sense so the 'catalyst' can have more control on how the organic progress. But the difference between the Prothean and the current civilization was already huge.

BUT

The fact remain ... It's only take one time for it to happens. One time for the synthethic to wipe every organic and life to be extincted. So I can also somewhat understand the Catalyst with the 'solution'.

WOAH WOAH WOAH. "The other HALF of the people who enjoyed the ending".... ONLY 3% LIKE THE CURRENT ENDINGS. Look at the polls.

The endings of Mass Effect 3 are indeed flawed, not because they are not good, but because we should have at least one more ending which took note of our choices during the game, and more particularly the Geth/Quarian outcome. If you have the Quarian and Geth making peace, it actually demonstrate that Organic and Synthetic can co-exist peacefully, so why can't we point this to the Catalyst and persuade him via paragon or renegade option to give the organic lifes of this cycle a chance?

That's why i find that Bioware do deservec criticism to not have took in consideration something so logical and simple.

The endings are already being discussed in several threads in this forum. Please join one of them. Thank you.

End of line.
