Only just finished Palaven, so spoiler free answers would be appreciated. I mainly wanted to know whether or not the Citadel would be as active with crew conversation and side-questing after every piority mission as it is after Palaven. I've just come back to the Citadel after Palaven, and there is a lot of side-questing oppurtunities with really good crew dialogue. Will the Citadel be this lively with content after every priority mission, or is it only after certain priority missions?

It's not as frequent as after EVERY Priority mission. But if you are scanning planets after missions and heading back to the Citadel often you shouldn't miss anything. Sometimes you are told that someone wants to talk to you or they will send you a message at your private terminal to meet them on the Citadel and where.
It's never clear when you are able to unlock new scenes with them though, so a lot of running around and talking to them is what I did to make sure I squeezed every last ounce of interaction out of them.
