But then on the Xbox it is always low as well unless you want to do a HD install.
FF XIII has a zero install and does not have any issues with disc access or skips/lag etc
so it can't be related to HD install or not, maybe the way the graphic engine runs on PS3.

... So could FFXIII-2 to help with the loading and frame rates.
Unlike FFXIII both ME3 and XIII-2 seem to not have a lot of effort put into optimization on the PS3.

agree if decs take the time they can do awsome things on the ps3. This game i believe was a rush job.TheBigLebowski wrote...
In the future I will only buy games that are made with love for the ps3. I have both consoles, but man how I like Uncharted, God of War, Killzone and Demon Souls. Bioware can learn from those devs.

you: hi
Himanshu: Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Himanshu how may I help you?
Himanshu: Hello
you: i am having a huge problem with mass effect ***** on the ps*****
Himanshu: Okay, I&#*****;ll try my best to assist you here
you: the frame rate is really poor is there anything in the pipeline to fix this issue ?
Himanshu: Okay, May I please know your PSN id ?
you: ypmud
Himanshu: There may be some corrupt files on your system. Let’s try to delete these files by following the steps below:
*****. Press the PS button on the controller to enter the PLAYSTATION ***** XBM (XrossMediaBar).
*****. Select the Game tab.
*****. Select the Game Data Utility and press the X button.
*****. Select your game
*****. Find and delete all the files listed.
you: ive tried that
Himanshu: Okay, the game frame rate is slow in online gaming or offline too ?
you: offline im playing the story mode and its down below ***** frames per second which for a current generation game is just shocking
Himanshu: Yes, you are right.
Himanshu: This issue can also be caused due to corrupt game save files, please follow the below given steps to delete your game save files:
*****. Press the PS button on the controller to enter the PLAYSTATION ***** XBM (XrossMediaBar).
*****. Select the Game tab.
*****. Select the Save Data Utility and press the X button.
*****. Delete all the files related to the game.
Note: &#*****;deleting your game save file would reset your offline game progress and you would need to play the game from start.
you: its very jerky
you: also tried that too
you: half the problem is the fact that the blu ray is constatnly reading which is a knwon issue and that it is significantly slower than the ps*****&#*****;s internal hard disk
Himanshu: Okay, In that case, let me escalate this issue to our higher support for better investigation. They&#*****;ll look into this and reply you back through email in another *****-***** hours,
you: ok this problem could be fixed if an install option was added to the next patch of the game
you: the game relys heavily on streaming the whole game off the blu ray this causes really low framerates and poor loading times
Himanshu: I&#*****;ll escalate right after this chat along with chat transcript so that higher support can have better look
Himanshu: Thank you for contacting EA. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
basically it looks like ea are not aware of the issue as of yet !

I'm just going to vote with my money and never buy a Bioware game again until something is done to make the game playable on PS3.
I know several other people that bought Mass Effect 3 for PS3 and have had problems with their PS3 after playing ME3. One person I know had the game crash in a loading screen and had all their game saves for ME3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning become corrupted. He had to start both games over from the beginning. He isn't playing ME3 again until there's an install option too.
So myself and a few other people I know are boycotting Bioware until the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 is fixed. So considering Bioware's record for fixing their games for PS3, I'll never be buying a Bioware game again.

- Browsing through the war assets takes forever. Each time you navigate to another category it takes time to load causing unecessary lag.
- The security scanner on the CIC deck (to get to the War Room) takes a while to load.
- Liara's room and Garrus' area also take a while to 'load' before you can enter
Surely a PS3 install option could speed it up.

Liara and Garrus's room dont bother me as much as the first two. Last night it took me a good 3 minutes to go through all my war assets. Then later in the game went to the war room to ask legion a question and stood in the security scanner forever. I literally went to the bathroom and got a drink came back and shep was still in the scanner. Was sitting there like freaking really.

As I asked in the topic I created about this, all I want to know is: "Whose decision was it, and what was the reasoning behind that decision?"
Even if the only answer they can give is "It was EA's decision, and we don't know" I would accept that, because it tells me everything I need to know: EA doesn't really care for the PS3 userbase.

HDD install probably wouldn't help actually. I got desperate enough to try the extortionately expensive PS Store digital version. Guess what? It hasn't made any difference. I'm still plagued with slow load times, texture pop-in and low framerates. Blegh.
You may be right. However, the issue I'm having isn't that the game doesn't have an HDD install (assuming that alone won't help). My problem is that no one from BioWare is willing to get on these forums and give us the bad news straight up. If the lack of an HDD install isn't the cause of the stability issues in the PS3 version, BioWare could at least inform the community.
