I've played through Earth, Mars and the Citidal with my import Renagon Infiltrator.

The earth segement opens up almost exactly the same as the demo with the exception of a couple of additional lines of dialogue from Anderson replacing 'the **** you've done', and one welcome chance to interact with your LI before meeting the council.

The much feared auto-dialogue can best be described as not quite as bad as feared, but a long way from what I hoped.  There are too many  instances of Shepard talking without player input.  Though some of this is sensible and increases flow to the scenes, it's a real dagger to the heart on occasions where you feel the need to put your point across, and he says something crass/subserviant/idiotic that is completely out of character for the Shepard you've created. A noticable example is Shepards cringewothy saluts to Hackett.  It's not so much the salute but the way he does it, with a child-like grin.  I'm not sure this is dignified for Paragon Shep, let alone my renegon, who feels like he's just had his balls removed. The scene with the council - one choice in the entire exchange? Really Bioware?  When you do get to talk it's purely 2 choices now on the right side of the wheel.  Neutral Shepard is gone.  You do get investigate options sometimes.

Combat is very good indeed.  The Ai is tougher, more intelligent and vastly more aggressive than ME2.  Weapons feel fantastic, like they really pack a punch, and the level design is a lot more varied and fun, from tense corridor battles, to more wide open exchanges, not just in width but also in height allowing for more tactical approaches.

Though the graphics overall are good, with absolutely stunning views, there are some noticable embarrassments : 'ant people' on earth, lip-syncing varying form passable to atrocious, awkward animations in cut-scenes, and at the citidal several people who appear to be waxworks - not only are they stood still, but rigidly, not even breathing.  Oh, and did everyone get a make-over for armageddon?  Ashley, Udina and now Bailey???  I feel like I need to go back to the CC screen and have my roots touched up just to fit in.

Just a few hours in, and despite some noticable concerns, I'm tentatively encouraged by what I've seen.
