Well if I buy a DVD or Blu-ray I get ridiculous anti-piracy commercials I have to watch every time I start them. Same kind of thing with online software checks. IF you pirate the same software and/or films you might have some initial hassle (same as buying), but after that you're home free.
But after you've pirated software/films the big corporations want to sue you for doing what they in a way encouraged. Now that is so twisted, you know they're evil. Which for most of us wasn't a surprise. =)
I have to say though, that I believe in paying for my games and films, but I DO NOT like the way that we, the paying customers, are being treated. Then again I can understand why things are the way they are, I just think that we, the customers, are entitled to better solutions.
