i am sorry to say that anyone who ordered with asda / amazon / play etc all set themselves up for disapointment. think about it.....those are huge companies that sell many many thousands of products. they dont really give a cack about getting things to people on or before release.
Shopto.net only deal in games, they were probably set up by gamers and many of the staff will be gamers. they understand how important these pre-order are to you, they know that you are checking the order status 5 times a day in the week leading up to the release. this is why they go the extra mile and send you a text message that its being processed and then send you an email with a photograph of your envelope attached when its ready to be sent out.
I have ordered 25ish games with them over the last couple of years, every single one that was a pre-order was delivered on the day before release. they are also often cheaper than those other companies, they understand what we want as gamers, which is why i always use them when possible.
Shopto.net are usually good, I agree. I got Skyrim the day before release. However I preordered SSX months ago and it turned up on release day, and I preordered Mass Effect several weeks ago and it's still not here. It seems to have got worse with each consecutive order.
I got the emails/text alerts saying it had been shipped 1st class on Wednesday at 10:24am - over 2 DAYS ago now. I'm actually quite annoyed; the website says it's been "DISPATCHED/COMPLETED", which is massively unhelpful - is it just in transit, or has it been delivered to the wrong address? Either way Royal Mail have screwed me over here.
I know, 1st world problems, call the waahmbulance etc., but I'm going travelling next Sunday for 2 months and I'd planned to have 9 days straight to finish the game. If the game doesn't come tomorrow that'll be down to 6, which almost certainly won't be enough.

I'll do the same as Tezlaa and wait for the morning post, if it still hasn't arrived by then I'll have to buy it online or make a trek to game as my local supermarket (Tesco) don't sell PC games.
There is still time for it today but I can't quite see that happening.

If you ordered using first class or day one delivery, then it should hopefully be in a van on its way to you now
Paid around £5 for the day one delivery, thanks mitch for the hope

nope, i preordered around 9 months ago, and then scrambled to re-preorder on 29th feb, with Expediated delivery, and before i caught them out with lying were going to deliver it monday, as it is, i have to wait for some unknmown time tomorrow, despite the wasted day off, and the fact i hasve to stay in tomorrow and potentially blow off a social occasion or risk not getting it till tuesday when i would have to travel 1 hour to their depot and 1 hour back.

Wonder what the true extent of undelivered ME3 that were guaranteed to be with us today... Somehow i can't help but feel that it's a fair few.
Would be interesting to collate the data, and graph it based on volume and carrier and/or supplier
might show up some damning statistics...

I for one will be giving them an abrupt phone call tomorrow even if I do get it in tomorrow mornings mail, demanding my P&P to be refunded.

Well I just hope that Amazon get some stick over it, especially after I paid extra to get it on the release date.

after talking with Amazon themselves, it would seem that the issue is with the carriers, as they sent them out to the carriers in batches together, after it leaves Amazon and reaches the sorting offices, its then that these issues become the carriers issue - since other people from your carrier from Amazon recieved it, we must conclude that it is the carrier at fault.

Their still getting the stinking phone call, if people put pressure onto the companies hopefully they in-turn will put pressure on the curriers they use to make sure delivery times are meet. The blame has to fall somewhere and Amazon is in my sights... Dont like having to chase companies up but when something is guaranteed i expect that guarantee to be meet.

I know HDNL are going to be brought to account for this, as Amazon is going to be having a board meeting on it, where their failure to deliver will be reviewed, and i will be told the end result - its what i got them to promise to before i let them go.

Either way I might just buy it on Steam or Origin now and return the game when it finally comes!
This isn't the adrenaline fuelled day i was expecting.
