First of all, this
Born in 2155, Joker's upbringing and career have been colored by his health. Joker has a moderate to severe case of Vrolik syndrome, which causes extreme brittleness in the bones; he was born with severe fractures to his legs and even with modern medicine he finds walking nearly impossible, relying on crutches and leg braces.
Second, the line "Well what can I do against Collectors? Break my arm at them?" doesn't really say anything. I'd like to see you try and hit a Collector (pretty much half synthetic bugs) without any protection nor any upper body strength without atleast somewhat getting injured. You are reading to much into those lines. But the way Joker's disease is presented is pretty inconsistent.
Quote War!
From Joker's page on the ME2 website:
Part of Joker's outlook on life is shaped by an ailment he has suffered his whole life, brittle bone disease. While able to walk and function relatively normally, small injuries could be fatal to him. The recoil from a rifle can cause fractures, and a fall can easily break bones. Piloting a ship gives him a freedom he can't get anywhere else, as he is too fragile to pursue physical endeavors others take for granted. He lives to fly, and rarely leaves the ship.
What you quoted is the ME1 info from the wiki.
My memory isn't perfect, but I don't recall any mention of Joker's disease being restricted to his legs in ME2 or ME3. That's why I suspect they retconned it on the sly, and that's probably why he keeps dropping lines relating to breaking bones from different parts of his body, not just his legs.
On an unrelated note:

Maybe you should just get a sign that says don't and hit people with it? (sorry for the bad DA2 reference but I couldn't resist). Also people should quoting non-motivational images as well. IMO, it's just as bad as posting a new non-motivational image.AshiraShepard wrote...

You do of course realise that it's only from the waist down, right?
Not sure if that was meant to be a joke, but Joker's disease affects his whole body. In the worst-case ME2 ending, Joker will attempt to pull Shepard up into the Normandy, but his arm gets injured.
Joker wants to have a word with you.
Whether that statement gets retconned in ME2 or re-retconned in ME3 is up for debate, but Joker specifically states it is only the bones in his legs.
Probably got retconned in that case, cause remember the beginning of ME2? The normandy exploding, and Joker crying out "whoa watch the arm!" when Shepard grabs him.
And then there is also the moment the collectors are invading the SR-2 and we control Joker. If you remember the way he walked, and the asymetrical way how he also carried his torso and arms, I seriously doubt his illness is only from the waist down.
I suspect Shepard was kinda rough when he hauled Joker's ass out of the cockpit, so that comment of his is eaisly explainable.
And for the second thing, I doubt it's easy walking with legs that could break any moment, so him walking funny is kinda logical. Doesn't mean his disease affects more than his legs.
I also think Joker would've died several times of if all of his body was affected by his BBD, especially when he crashes during the suicide mission.
In ME1 when you ask Joker about his disease he talks about his legs being hollow but doesnt mention anything else. It might just affect his legs

Here's the thing: In ME1 joker, in the link I posted, specifically says that the bones in his legs didn't form correctly and then continues to allude to the fact that it is just his legs ("I don't fly with my feet Commander")
However in ME2 he makes frequent mention to his bones breaking ("Broke my thumb on the mute but I think I made my point","AH, I think I broke a rib!") so it APPEARS that they retconned it.
However if I remember correctly Joker makes some mention of his disease alluding to it just being his legs again in ME3. I can't remember when so I can't look it up, but I seem to remember it happening.
There's really no doubt that they retconned it going from ME1 to ME2. The specificity in ME1 combined with the specificity in ME2 (including animations) make it obvious.
However what isn't clear is if they retconned it again going from ME2 to ME3.

No what you need is a version of that "top comment pic" thing that goes around the character threads. If someone has the top comment, they paste in a readily available motivational that warns against captions as an edit.
That way almost every page would have a reminder for those that didin't start at the beginning.
As an aside, you really can't be too hard on them. It's just human nature to ignore text in a thread title.

hmm. I hadnt considered that. We should hold a festival on Tuchanka to find out who is the best threefingered guitarist in the galaxy. Oh, and invite some turian rappers, a geth metal band and the surkesh yodel club, while we're at it.
Edit: Too bad, the best conductor for beethoven's 9th symphony is already dead. We'll have to find somebody else for classical music...

Yep I may just end up becoming the bad cop, I find that if I use profanity and CAPS at people they tend to understand things, I know I get the message easier if it's directed at me like that.
