My First Challenge. ONLY RULE please ignore the subtitles, don't use them to add to your thing. Pretend they are not there
I hate subtitles, they are so distracting to me. If I ever have subtitles turned on for anything, I spend all my time reading them and not focusing on the faces of the characters or the delivery of the lines.
I know I'm not alone, but they still bother me.

sorry for bringing up the ending one last time, but I came to the conclusion that I only really want 2 things (maybe even one) thing from the extended cut DLC (I ended with highest readiness & destroy option):
1) Shepard is alive and well (possible 2nd Lazarus project)
Although this isn't the most important: I think it's OK that Shepard sacrafices himself for the galaxy, as long as my 2nd thing is 'fixed'
2) Most technology survived, and they still have the relays, or rebuild them, or make new ones from studying the reapers and relay peices, or I don't know what, as long as they have something to travel between the stars like before.
Those are really the 2 things that I don't like about the ending.
Possibly only the second thing.
If they found a way to travel between the stars at those speeds, and kept enough technology (I don't know how much 'synthetics' are destroyed) then I would love the ending...
It's sorta weird how I like the relays so much...
EDIT: Ehh, I might just go along with the indoc theory till... Idunno, maybe always?
Remember one thing: Shepard's story is YOUR story. YOU make the choices. YOU can choose that the game ending didn't happen, but instead the indoc theory, or something completely different, like Shepard chooses the 'destroy' option, survives, and the shockwave only kills reapers...
It's YOUR choice.
I couldn't agree more. I was so upset about the mass relays because it meant that shepard didn't really save the galaxy. I don't need to have my shepard alive, I had prepared myself for shepard's death when I found out how adamant they were about not continuing his/her story. I just want to know that the aliens are able to survive without the tech of the mass relays.
Oh yea in my endings I pretend that the mass relays didn't really blow up, and that my crew isn't really stranded forever.

I keep them on because I tend to need to read things to process the meaning better. Especially in video games and music where there is often so much else going on. Oddly I don't have this problem with movies and TV shows.
Same here

Yeah, this is literally the only thread I even bother to check here. I just figure if I try to check anything else, I'll just get sad again. Here's hoping they fix it this summer. I know they're not going to totally re-do the endings, but I have a feeling that Indoc Theory is true (or at least that they'll use it as a means to wiggle out of this) and that the new extended endings will at least make the game replayable again. Naja, mal sehen...stefer2104 wrote...
OMGosh, that is exactly how I feel... People laugh at how upset I still am, but they have no idea. I just need to stop reading anything bioware. Then maybe just maybe I can move on. I know it sounds cheesy but I loved this universe and with everything destroyed its very very hard to realize that its gone...gearseffect wrote...

In fact, maybe now that I had about an hour to think about it, the worst part about the ending is that all the stuff you do in the previous games seems so tiny, so small and pointless...
Awww, man, this sucks.
Let's hope a (good?) night sleep will make me feel better...
Likely it won't you'll be browings BSN and all of a sudden you'll end in a rage over issues you didn't even know you had from ME3. Trust me on this ya know how many times it's bubbled up for me? Just when I think I've been able to put it all bhind me it comes right back.

(I chose the 'destroy' option)
mine actually is either the indoctrination theory, or the relays weren't destroyed, or they rebuilt the relays (in a matter of about 3 years maybe? wow!) 'cause 1: the still had the relay 'pieces' (they didn't disintegrate) and 2: researching dead reaper tech.
Also, all AI software (Reapers, geth, EDI, secret stuff...) and some highly advanced VI software was destroyed.
As for the crew: they still had the quantum entanglement blablabla, and they were trying to escape the blast with FTL drives, so their location was found and they were quickly retrieved without the relays.
Shepard barely survived, being in a coma for a long time, and having some futuristic surgery fixing all his burnt skin.
So basically, after about 5 years, everything is back to as normal as it gets after a reaper war, but without any old AI's.
yaaay!
oh, wait, Anderson is dead.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
EDIT: Oh, yeah, maybe they also rebuilt the citadel or something, Idunno... maybe they changed the galactic capitol to a neutral planet...

Once upon a time in a distant land (yes, Europe), there lived an extraordinarily geeky little girl. She grew up to be even geekier and filled her home with movie posters and action figures from all her favourite geek franchises. She dreamed of getting one of those awesome replicas of Andúril or Obi-Wan's lightsaber, but never could afford it.
Then one day, the geek girl discovered something wondrous and beautiful on the internet: An M8 Avenger Replica!
Mass Effect had always been her favourite game series and had grown to become her favourite franchise of them all. The geek girl loved the universe and all of its characters (except the ones she loved to hate). She loved the story, she loved the music and she loved the visual design of it, especially the M8 Avenger assault rifle.
The geek girl started saving money so that she could pre-order this fantastic replica. It wasn't easy on a student budget with all the hefty import fees and the shipping cost to her distant realm, but she knew it would be worth it.
Then finally came the blessed day when she recieved the package with its precious content. With the eagerness of a kid at Comic Con, the geek girl opened the box to find her long awaited fabulous, beautiful, fantastic first big investment in collectibles

^That's terrible, that guns costs like $600+ and I thought I felt bad after buying the CE of ME3.
With shipping and import fees it all amounted to the equivalent of $1043. So yeah, bummer.
I am getting a partial refund by the way. But I just wanted my M8. That's why I ordered and payed for it in January.
