I'm a huge fan of ME series and I'm also very-very disappointed with the ending. And to add my 10 cent I think there is another huge error with the ending.

So u can decide to kill all syntethic life forms in the galaxy. Including the geth and possibly EDI also.

BUT.

If EDI is also killed in the action.... how the hell can the Normandy escape to the unknown planet?????????

As we know since the abduction of the Normandy crew in ME2 EDI and the Normandy are one: EDI is "the soul", and Normandy is "the body". In this case the Normandy SR-2 counts as a syntethic lifeform. And in this case it should die with EDI - means no escape for Joker and LI to an unknown world.
