You're confused.  ME3 user reviews were a massive trolling effort from people who hadn't played the game at all.

And Dragon Age 2's reviews were a trolling effort as well? I love this myth that some sort of organized metacritic raid is going on. I see no proof of any such thing.

That's because you are not looking.

I like how whenever a game gets score
bombed on metacritic detractors of the game try use it as evidence of
gamers generally being unhappy with the game. Too bad user scores on
sites other than metacritic don't agree:

Gamefly : 9.4
Gamespot : 8.7
Gameinformer: 9.5
Planet Xbox: 8.4
G4TV: 4.6(out of 5)

I wonder why? (Trolls are too lazy to score bomb them on every site... duh)

Fine, finish the game and decide if we were lying. Not only metacritic, all gaming forums have stated their disappointment with some major portions of the game.

I doubt the games finish is as bad as you're making it out to be, but even if it's the most god-awful garbage I've ever witnessed it's still an insignificantly small percentage of the game.  What I've played of the game so far has been terrific.

You will come to realise the value of the pain we have now because we spent hours on ME1 and 2 all to see it end in such a hasty way.

I enjoyed the time I spent on the previous games.  A spectacular finish would be nice but a lack of one isn't going to invalidate everything else I've experienced.  I guess I'm just reasonable like that.

Its not about the lack of the spectacular finish we are talking about, its about an illogical finish which raises more questions than gives answers. The rest of the game is no doubt great.

Regardless, a bad ending is still just a bad ending.  If I get there and it sucks I'll come to the forums griping about how I expected more, but the game, and series, will still get majority praise from me.

I'm not sure where you are on the whole user review fiasco, and I'm not sure how you rate the game overall.  I just get annoyed when people can't keep stuff like that in perspective.

DA2 was the point where people got infuriated by minor issues. Really. That game wasn't THAT bad.

I'm sure people are dissapointed of the game, and that's fine. But why rate it to zero or 1,2 or 3? When there are good things about the game too? I'd understand 5 or 6. But giving it low as score as those just says that people who did it are just bipolar about Bioware work. Either it's really good or it's complete failure on every area. Have some middle ground...

User reviews like Metacritic are supposed to be about quantity not quality.

If I found a dead mouse in a meal I'd rate the restaurant pretty low even if every other bit of the food was perfect.

Critical reviews are already being discussed in this Sticky thread. Review-bombing is a great way to get people to ignore user reviews, since it is disingenuous, hyperbolic, and generally accompanied by very little that's constructive. Unfortunately, this tends to be the case with the thoughtless 10's as well as the ridiculous 0's.

Don't do what many of you accuse the critical reviewers of doing, and use more than two numbers in your scale. It goes from 0 to 10 for a reason. Thank you.

End of line.
