 Hi,

I'm pretty sure that this is more than a little naughty but I'm desperate to get my character in!

I've played through Mass Effect 1 and 2 on the PC but, unfortunately, I've recently emmigrated and didn't bring my gaming PC with me. Therefore I've purchased the 360 version of ME3 with the hope of converting and importing my character from PC to Xbox.

I followed this guide to retrieve, convert and get my saves on to my xbox. The only problem I encountered was that I've never had ME2 in my Xbox so don't have a valid save file. I d/l the the ME2 Demo though and this created a profile on my HDD that I could use to import my converted PC saves. This also meant that I had to download a save game through Modio and replace the .xbsav files in that with mine. I did all this and they appear to show up on my Xbox as a valid save file as shown here:

Then I sat and waited for ME3 to arrive and when I go to  "New Game" and "Import ME2 Character", it simply doesn't find any careers. It does search for a good 20-30 seconds first.

Does anybody know of any way to get this working or am I just going to have to say goodbye to Rukia Shepherd? :(

For the record I have no interest in save file modding other than getting my character in.

One solution I can potentially think of is importing my ME2 PC saves in to a friends PC copy of ME3, Taking this out and then trying to convert this save in the onlince convertor from the above link. Then importing this in to my genuine ME3 Xbox profile?

Anywho any thoughts at all would be grand! Cheers in advance...

I followed the guides linked from here http://gaming.stacke...com/q/53213/263 and here http://gaming.stacke...com/q/54112/263 and had no problems importing my old PC save.

However, and I think that this may be the important part, I borrowed an Xbox copy of ME2 from a friend to create my sacrificial save. I also had to make sure that the save that I created in the Xbox ME2 had the same sex, name and class as my old PC save (you can check all these are correct in the Gibbed editor while you're doing the Save As from PC save to Xbox save format.

If you can't borrow a copy of ME2, then I'm sure you must be able to pick up a used copy very cheaply now (and probably sell it back afterwards once you've spent the 15 mins creating that first save).
