Never knew why people have Gamestop ship to them when you can pre-order and do an in-store pickup for free, often at Midnight for big releases.

GameStop has a poor reputation for employees in the store screwing people out of bonus content, stealing codes and such. That's why I do it.



Only reason I went with them over Amazon is that they were promising Nov. 3rd delivery whereas Amazon was not. Going to be extremely miffed if it doesn't show up tomorrow.

ya, you should have gotten a call. Im in the US, in Michigan and i just got a call not even 15 minutes ago. it was a recorded messege and it said



"you have a pre-ordered item or items available for pick up 12:01 am tuesday November 3"

Yeah my tracking number isn't registering on UPS's website either. Getting a little worried.



I ordered mine online because I've been moving around a lot lately and while I have the money for the game I wasn't sure where I'd be living. This way I could update the shipping location for the game if/when I moved, and I wouldn't have to potentially drive hours out of my way to pick up the game at the store I preordered it at.

The interesting thing is when I called them earlier this morning, they said the games wouldn't be taken to a UPS facility until 4PM. Then less than an hour later mine said it was shipped.



Starting to wonder if GameStop has pulled another fast one.

My husband and I ordered from Amazon and GameStop respectivly.  Both have left Kentucky as of this afternoon.  Amazon is promised to arrive tomorrow (via FedEx) and my CE copy was shipped by 2nd Day Air (via UPS).  So it's a race to see which gets here first.

My wondering is that I preordered the playstation 3 version as well as the computer, and the computer version has shipped but the PS3 version is still backordered. I thought we were supposed to get it on the third now. I better not get it on the 17th I'll be upset.

Well at least I know I'm not alone here. I was getting worried that UPS hadn't gotten my order in there system yet. If this is something we're all experiencing, I'm not to concerned.. I just hope it gets here tomorrow..



Anyone know what's up with preorder codes? Are they gonna be contained in the physical box or are they emailed to you?

I order online to have it shipped to my home because I live in a pretty rural area and I'd have to drive a ways to go to the nearest gamestop store. I pay for the convenience. My order history still hasn't updated, but I did finally get my email with the codes in it. I don't know why but my item shipped email always, always comes after the game has already arrived.

I called, because I heard they would be emailed and I haven't gotten that email. The guy I spoke to told me they would be in the box. It seemed like he was checking something on a computer and I think he understood what I was asking about specifically, so hopefully he was right.

One thing I'm worried about is that I got a text, yes a text, from gamestop that said Dragon Age Origins is waiting for me to pick up tomorrow. Now I ordered the CE, should I be worried? I'll raise major hell if I don't get it. They even told me I was the first to preorder at their store.

Serantina, what version of the game did you order? I'm curious because I ordered it for xbox and I haven't gotten any email with the codes. I called gamestop support and the guy I spoke to said that the preorder bonuses will come with the physical game.

I ordered it for PC. No text message or email, I manuelly checked the Gamestop website and the status was "closed" and "shipped", UPS tracking number not working like everyone else. Hope both the PC and Xbox versions get the codes in a box, because I'm pretty worried about it.

I figure at worse, it will come without the preorder bonuses then I can call gamestop and complain until they send them to me, either via email or regular mail. But I would like to have them when I get the game.

I got it for the pc.  The codes were for the Feral Wolf Charm and the memory band.  I guess the other codes come with the game, these were ones Gamestop was offering when you pre-ordered.

The whole tracking number not in UPS' system thing probably means that Gamestop has them boxed up, labeled and ready for pickup but UPS hasn't picked them up yet.... that or UPS hasn't finished scanning them all in yet.



Keep in mind this little phrase from Gamestop's website, in regards to shipments...



"Allow 1 business day for transit & 1 business day for processing."



I'm expecting mine to arrive Wednesday.

Well, just checked EBGames and my order is still listed as open. As far as I know I haven't gotten a phone call about it either...it is a ship to store option, but bought through the website. I'm not too worried as I also bought the Digital Deluxe CE.



Still worries me a bit.

Have had a tracking number since early this morning, 8ish hours later still not scanned into the ups system. If I dont get this by tomorrow, it will be the last time I order from gamestop. I will try amazon, newegg or whatever next.

Same for me.  I had to call their 800 number because they couldn't find my address.  It is very much a pain; I hope they get it to me on time.

Just got off the phone with Gamestop regarding tracking numbers in their system and not UPS' system....



apparently this means that they're shipping it tonight, but UPS either hasn't picked it up yet or just hasn't put it in their system.

I ordered via Gamestop. But its an instore pickup. Received a text message with its ready for pickup on the 3rd.
