In order to employ hundreds of artists, writers, voice actors, programmers, etc and continue to exist as part of a parent company requires a very strange intergalactic substance known as money.
They could either bump up the price of the main game which would put many off buying it, or they can spread the cost by adding DLC and multiplayer micropayments.
The Game industry is currently in a rut (waiting for next gen and competing with mobiles) so I have no problem with companies using creative methods to stay afloat, while still giving me the option to buy or not buy.
I Choose not to make multiplayer micropayments, but I WILL be buying Leviathan.

I agree with this - I don't mind companies looking to new business models. I bought expansions (like Tales of the Sword Coast) back when they were called expansions, and have bought and will continue to buy DLC also. Having said that, the customer drives the market - I was not pleased with ME3's ending, so I won't be buying ME3 DLC.

The OP was obviously made prior to the EC, so the thread creator was saying s/he didn't want to pay for endings to fix the original ones. Necroed for no reason because the EC that may or may not have fixed things for the OP was free.

I think it's because this post actually sounds like a post that would be made right now by disgruntled fans is what's made it so popular.
